SASHA OBAMA PRACTICES HER CHINESE WITH HU
Nine-year-old Sasha Obama got the opportunity of a lifetime this week when she got a chance to test her developing Chinese skills with Hu. Who? The Chinese president Hu Jintao, that is who!
According to Ben Rhodes, a White House deputy national security adviser, Sasha and her classmates are studying Chinese.
“She’s under 10 years old and they’re studying Chinese, and she wanted to have the chance to practice her Chinese with President Hu,” he says.
Sasha, along with several of her classmates, attended Hu’s welcoming ceremony on the White House lawn on Wednesday morning. Click here for the pictures.

great going Sasha. i wonder if she even got the chance to say anything. from the video i saw of the meeting, it looks like she was just skinnin and grinnin lol!
and for those of us not lucky enough to get a lovely private school education in which to learn Chinese, there’s always Rosetta Stone, i heard that program is really good
great pic! on another note, bck please put a story up of Carlina White the young lady abducted 23 years ago as a newborn by woman posing as hospital nurse. Carlina trusted her instints and found her birth family recently. we need to support her and raise social awareness of kidnapping particulary cuz white media doesn’t go all out when it come to missing black kids. however the media is all over this story because it has an extrodinary ending.i know this black celeb kids site but another mission of the site should be raise social awareness. i know there are alot of new parents on here that benifit from learning about this type of story. it’s very inspiring as well
China is the new superpower. It will serve Sasha very well if she sticks with it.
What an incredible opportunity for her and her classmates!
I totally agree with you!
The U.S.A owes China a huge debt.
thats a language i always wanted to learn. it looks so hard but many of my friends who study chinese said its not that bad. im glad sasha and her class mates are learning a new language at such a young age.
I always wanted to learn Madarin Chinese too. These kids today are so lucky to be learning at such a young age, a foreign language. Hopefully by adulthood, they will be fluent.
Ni hao, Jintao!!!!
Nice…lol.
