WILLOW SMITH FEATURED IN TEEN VOGUE
Willow Smith,10, is featured in this month’s issue of Teen Vogue magazine. In the issue, the tween star talks about her music, her parents, and much more! Here is an excerpt of the article:
Unless you don’t have a radio, TV, or Internet connection, you’ve probably heard the übercatchy “Whip My Hair,” which, since its release this fall, has scored more than 34 million hits on YouTube and a number eleven slot on the Billboard Hot 100—a milestone no other ten-year-old has reached.
Willow, who joins Justin on his European tour this month, admits that even she’s still getting used to it all. “When I first put ['Whip My Hair'] out, everyone was like, ‘Willow, Willow, I love your song!’ And I was like, ‘Really?’” recalls the singer.
She credits the incredible popularity of the single, in part, to its positive message. “Whipping your hair means not being afraid to be yourself,” Willow explains. “If people don’t like you, then bunck them, you know?”

When I see willow and her brother Jaden I see happy kids who love what they do. It’s either people support them or keep the negativity to themselves. It’s childish to condemn someone you’ve never met!

I don’t think Willow is being forced to do anything.There’s nothing wrong with rehearsing what to say and how to act before doing an interview.All of us regular people practice and prepare for job interviews beforehand,don’t we? It’s important to do that because you need to know proper interview etiquette,like giving a firm handshake,making eye contact with the person while talking with them,and so on.Since Will and Jada have given many interviews during the course of their careers,they know what it’s like,so now they’re teaching their kids how to handle interviews.
l think Willow’s style is cool,and it reminds how her dad used to dress in his Fresh Prince of Belair days.Will wore crazy outfits with bright colors,and the sides of his head were shaved too because he had a fade back then.Willow and Jaden are both adorable kids.

I just don’t see a natural, easy way about the way she acts (in interviews or performances)IMO
She’s “cool” b/c she’s got a stylist to make her look “edgy” and songwriters to write quick hits, and parents who can open all the right doors.
But if she were to ever audition BY HERSELF, in plain clothes, with normal hair, I would just see a sweet but awkward 10 year old girl, who for now just be a kid. All my opinion.
And BTW, her father didn’t debut @ 10…. just saying.

I don’t know, its interesting to find out that she shops at Target. I would be shocked out my mind, to one day go down a aisle in Target and see The Smiths. LOL! I still don’t like her hair or clothing style. But I wish her the best on her music & acting endeavors.
