Child actress Yara Shahidi, who celebrated her 11th birthday last month, has a new temporary look! She and her mother, model/actress Keri Shahidi, both decided to try a new look for some future auditions and they pressed their hair! It is only Yara’s second time having her hair pressed. In other news, Yara and her younger brother Sayeed Shahidi have been keeping very busy! They both recently did print work for Crewcuts as well as spots for KFC, and McDonalds.

OMG She looks so different! I remember how adorably cute she was in “Imagine That” Look at her in these pics. she kind of looks like Chanel Iman the victoria’s secret model.
Both look like Keri’s dad! Great looking family and very nice people in “real” life. I look up to Keri’s father so much and he is so proud of all his family.
I’d never seen her mother before and man is she beautiful! I prefer little Yara w her curls, but really she can’t miss. She can pull off any look.

YES I LOVE HER HAIR CURLY, BUT HER PRESSED HAIR LOOKS BEAUTIFUL TOO! IT JUST GOES TO SHOW YOU THAT OUR NATURAL KINKY HAIR IS BEAUTIFUL AND IT GROWS! HER MOTHER IS GORGEOUS! I WOULD LOVE TO LOOK LIKE HER WHEN I GET OLDER. SHE LOOKS GREAT!
I love Yara’s look either way, but I prefer Keri’s hair curly. I think she is so beautiful, and stands out from the masses with her crown of curls.
I prefer their hair curled, but I have to admit that they look just as beautiful with their hair straightened.

i love yara i think she is so adorable and talented. i always wnted to see her hair str8 and she looks georgeous. MOM TOO!! she looks so grown and is growing up so fast. she was 6 when she flimed imagine that… i wish her and her family the best in the careers.
They’re beautiful, but i think they lost something with it straight, especially Yara. To me, now she just looks “conformed” imo.
Yea, I know what you mean. At least it’s a press and not a relaxer. Water + A good deep conditioning, and the curls are back in town.

OMG! I am in love with this little girl. She can act is so talented and pretty. She will go far in the “business” as long as she stays focus. Her brother is good too, on his tv show with Blair Underwood. Happy Birthday Yara Shahidi!
