I’m on team “the dress is too short”. Not in an “inappropriately short for her age type of way”, but in a “it just doesn’t fit type of way”… No hating, just an opinion.

  • connie March 23, 2011 at 6:58 pm

Aries is a hater! The dress is gorgeous, just like her!

    • aries March 23, 2011 at 9:55 pm

I am not a hater the dress does look too small. I do not have to agree with other people on the post hate on that!

  • aries March 23, 2011 at 1:41 pm

The dress is too short it looks like her little sister can fit the dress.

LA FAMILIA ES MUY BONITA! LOL, THE OBAMA FAMILY IS GORGEOUS, AND OF COURSE SOME OF YOU WANT TO FIND AT LEAST ONE THING WRONG, BUT YOU REALLY CANT. SASHA AND MALIA ARE ACTUALLY VERY PRETTY. ALL OF THEIR OUTFITS LOOK AMAZING ON THEM. SO CUTE!

Michelle Obama’s stylist/White House Aide is named Meredith Koop and has worked for 2 years at the White House.

Koop is instrumental in clothing choices of the President’s two daughters.

Mrs. Obama has boosted the economic value of the brands she chooses to wear by $2.7 billion.

I saw a picture of Meredith Koop on another web site…she is a 29 year old, red-head Caucasian woman. I find this fascinating.

Koop picked that controversial red gown that Mrs. Obama wore when China’s President visited the U.S.

  • Tellthetruth March 22, 2011 at 12:58 pm

im sure if the obamas thought it was to short they would not let her
wear it..and find a 12 year old that is almost 5″9 an look at there
dress an see if it looks the same..

    • Vickie March 22, 2011 at 4:11 pm

So many people on here think the Obamas can do nothing wrong! The dress does not fit properly, there are a million other choices for even a tall girl. And, no, it is not a baby doll dress (yes, I’m familiar)!

      • jsayinit March 22, 2011 at 6:21 pm

I agree with you, some people will defend them no matter what. If Malia drops her long arms next to her side, the dress length wouldn’t meet the “fingertip rule”.

        • DD March 22, 2011 at 7:31 pm

Umm I did not know their was a “rule” on how to dress. Don’t get mad because people don’t agree with YOUR opinion!!!!!

      • Tellthetruth March 22, 2011 at 11:48 pm

i never said they didnt but yall actin like the
dress is showin the girl ass dangg..she was not
being explict or anything..yall want her to wear
a dress that touch her toes h

        • Vickie March 23, 2011 at 9:16 am

I don’t think she is being explicit at all. She’s just wearing an ill fitting dress. Like that thing you question yourself on, but you wear anyway and get back home and say naw, I can’t wear that again.

  • Beautiful Moment March 22, 2011 at 12:05 pm

I think the last picture is amazing. Seeing Sasha run with men around with weapons in the back shows that Sasha is safe no matter what and she is enjoying life. I think that the girls are beautiful and I love the way they dress.

  • lala March 22, 2011 at 12:00 pm

I agree w/ the others. In my opinion, Malia’s dress is too short. She’s very pretty in the dress, but it should be longer. Like Vickie said, it should be made or bought for her height. My daughter’s tall for her age so I know how hard it is to find clothing that’s age apporiate, stylish & fits according to size & height. But they both look beautiful as always.

    • Eva da Diva March 22, 2011 at 12:36 pm

yes Malia’s dress is too short. She’s visiting another country, going to represent. Whatever the occasion really it should be longer or worn with tights. Keep it real people.

  • Kekeb March 22, 2011 at 11:02 am

The girls are cute and age appropriate as always.. Malia’s dress is nice and fun for her age I see nothing inappropriate or explicit about her dress, she is all cute and awkward(in a pre teen way) with her pretty long legs.. Love the Obamas

  • MRSREYNOLDS March 22, 2011 at 10:49 am

they are just so classy and cute!

  • Vickie March 22, 2011 at 9:41 am

leea, I too am a tall girl, and I never felt bad about wearing a dress, short or not. This dress just looks like it is literally too small. It’s a matter of dressing for your body type. I have wide hips, there are certain things I can’t wear, point blank.

    • Jessica March 22, 2011 at 11:09 am

Have you ever heard of baby doll dresses. It fits how it’s supposed to, stop at mid thigh, high in the waist, not tight in the armpits. Girls 13 and under from after the Great Depression to the late 60′s used to wear them to all occasions, school, church, spring or winter. I love it on Malia, especially with her long legs it looks more striking. Malia seems to be getting more comfortable with her height and body (she used to wear nothing but capris) which is difficult in this stage of her life.

  • Pisces March 22, 2011 at 9:34 am

I love that the First Daughter’s dresses are culturally in sync with what the native girls of Chile were wearing.

I’m so used to seeing grown women wearing dresses too short for them that I forget that short dresses are more appropriate for younger people.

  • leea March 22, 2011 at 9:21 am

that’s the kind of thing that make’s a tall girl feel bad about being tall. I was 5’9 at 13 and reached 6’2 evrey dress is going to look shorter on you. Im just glad she has the confidence to rock a dress I didn’t.

  • Vickie March 22, 2011 at 8:58 am

I agree with u keepin.it.real, that dress is way too short. And not in a stylish way; it just looks like she’s wearing one of Sasha’s dresses!

  • Jaylanie23 March 22, 2011 at 8:57 am

@ keep it real…maybe becuz she’s 5’9 @ 12 y/o smh…Anyway malia’s dress is fine and very very pretty. I deff luv sasha’s poka dot dress…These girls r so beautiful and mature…Great job barack and michelle.

  • Trisha March 22, 2011 at 8:54 am

No its not, its right above her knee. Do you see how tall the girl is? any dress she wears that comes a little bit above the knee is going to extra short on her. I think its a perfect length.

I remember my mom making me wear dresses for every single outing when I was young, especially when spring came around lol. She still makes me do it now, and I’m almost 21 haha. Love the girls dresses

    • bck reader March 22, 2011 at 12:07 pm

totally agree. i think her dress is fine. she can’t help how tall she is.

i actually loved wearing dresses when i was younger. shopping for Easter dresses was a highlight for me lol! but now, you would have to beat me into one. much more comfortable in pants, but every now and then, i’ll pull one hiding in the closet :-P

  • mel March 22, 2011 at 6:54 am

    • PlainMean March 23, 2011 at 10:07 pm

Makes you wonder where these people were when Ole Georgy Boy was constantly on vaca…

  • Fashionedbygod33 March 21, 2011 at 10:19 pm

Seeing them does my heart good every time. God bless them.

  • Victoria March 21, 2011 at 8:59 pm

I love seeing the President and his family!! I can’t believe how tall Malia is. Soon, she’ll be as tall as Michelle!
The President always projects the perfect image of dignity and strength. God bless our leader in these perilous times.

  • Tiger Blood March 21, 2011 at 8:53 pm

    • Me 2 March 21, 2011 at 9:00 pm
