KEKE PALMER HONORED AT CHARITY EVENT
This past weekend, teen star Keke Palmer,17, was one of the honorees at a gala fundraiser for the Common Ground Foundation.
“Keke Palmer is the great promise of the future and my daughter loves [her Nickelodeon show], “True Jackson,” says rapper/actor/dad Common whose foundation is “dedicated to the empowerment and leadership development of urban youth.”
Other honorees included business leader Dee Robinson, author Maya Angelou, and ABC’s “The View” co-host Sherri Shepherd.

KeKe Palmer is one of my favorite role-models (next to Raven) for young girls. I hope she continues to set examples of what dreams may become, when acted upon

Keke Palmer is soo talented and beautiful!! Im such a huge fan. I can’t wait to see her in the film that she is doing with Queen Latifah and Dolly Parton!!!
Keke’s my girl, shes too funny! Cant help but notice shes gone lighter tho do not attack me coz i never said she bleaching or anything i just said shes a tad bit lighter.

@bck reader, yes, this is what I believe it to be. This is not uncommon. I have seen tons of photos where an individual’s complexion is lighter than what it really is.

OMG!!! She is sooo beautiful. KeKe is all grown up now…she will be 18 this year. I am sad her show is ending bc it was a great show. Too bad NIckeledeon never really promoted her music vids though. I am proud of her for getting this award and I can wait to see her in more films/tv shows!!!!

Wow! I didn’t know they were cancelling “True Jackson.” But then again, I’m not surprised as Nick never supported the show. They gave a lot of support for Big Time Rush, Victorious, and iCarly. Not only to the shows, but their music.
Oh well, I’m happy for her and her future endeavors. She is a class act.
@Teri, yes they are canceling the show bc it has been on for three years. Most shows on Disney and Nick only get a 3 year contract. Only the really popular shows are on longer ie..Raven, Suite Life etc. Nick never really gave KeKe the exposure she deserved. She probably would have done better on Disney. But oh well, she has 3 movies lined up and she said she wants to go to Howard University! So she will be fine and we WILL see her in the future. I can’t wait…
