LUCKY GIRLS! THE SIMMONS GIRLS MEET THE FIRST FAMILY
Say Cheese! The Simmons girls-Ming,11, and Aoki,8,- pose with president Barack Obama during the White House Easter Egg Roll event on Monday(April 25th). Mom Kimora Lee Simmons writes:
“This year’s Egg Roll was the largest ever with 30,000 attendees. Thousands of families gathered to celebrate and welcome Spring to Washington. While spending time with the lovely and gracious first family, we learned so much about the history and legacy of the White House. From the inspiring collection of African American art to the centuries old reminders of our nation’s history, our private tour was unforgettable for Me, Djimon, Russell, Ming, Aoki and Kenzo. I’ll never forget the girls peeking through the door to the West Wing or when they met the very gracious President Obama. And Kenzo’s very important meeting with Elmo was a success too!!
Who could have asked for a better Easter and Birthday for Djimon? Thanks again to the lovely First Lady, the people of Washington D.C. and all the friends we met during our trip! We’re forever grateful to you for an amazing weekend. See you again soon!

Does anyone know if Kimmora and Djimon plan on getting married?
I for one think they are married. The article said it was a commitment ceremony in Africa, but I’m like for that area of Africa if that’s what constitutes a marriage there, then they’re married. They just didn’t file it in America, but in my eyes that makes no difference, because married is married.

Yay! I am so happy Ming and Aoki got to hang with the Obama girls. I have always wanted them to be friends. Ming and Malia seemed to both be laid back and easy going, while the baby girls are spunky. Love this!
Good point. Ming definitely reminds me of Malia and Aoki of Sasha. All 4 girls are too precious and they make their parents proud.

Omg everytime I see Ming Lee all I see is Tisha Campbell. The girls and Kendzo are getting so big. They’re so lucky to meet the President. Wish I was there.
kenzo’s name fits him well, cause he sure does look african. He looks like his name should ugabumi or soemthing. You can’t even tell he’s mixed with asian.
The name Kenzo is Japanese. I think his eyes are very asian.
I’ve noticed some overlap in features among asians and certain africans. That said, being that this little one has known partial asian hertiage, I can see it as well as the african. Nice combo.
Take a look at the khoi-san tribe, these are South Africans with apparent Asian features. No mixing of Asians and Africans in this tribe, this is a pure African tribe, makes you wonder?

Ming is already 11, as of January. Aoki turns 9 in August, so she’s more like 8 1/2.
my sentiments exactly! 2 of my fave bck families meeting up. never thought this would happen. look how tall Aoki is, bout the same height as Sasha. and the Obama girls are tall for their age. but Malia’s got everyone beat in that dept lol!
