THANDIE NEWTON AND HER KUNG FU KIDS
Thandie Newton and her daughters Ripley,10, and Nico,6, attended the UK premiere of Kung Fu Panda 2 on June 5, 2011 in London, England.
In a recent interview with UK’s edition of InStyle Magazine, Thandie said that she would support her kids if they decided to go into show business.
“If they did want to go into acting, I’d definitely make sure that they had a manager, an agent and press person in place right from the start.”
She added, “The kids used to play with [Willow Smith] when I was doing the movie with Will and it’s been very interesting seeing [Ripley and Nico's] perception of Willow and Jaden as those kids have started their careers. They’re so excited by it and my kids are lucky in that they can identify with them because they’ve hung out with them. For my kids Willow and Jaden are the most well-adjusted lovely people, children. So it’s really a nice positive role model for them.”

How can those kids be black ? Their mother is half black these kids are 1/4 black(Quadroon)… Their not black celeb kids their Mulatto kids…
@MX, because “race” is a social construct, and that construct has always dictated that one drop meant Black. You can’t say you want to play the game of race, but then demand that people change the rules for you.
African-Americans are a mostly mixed race ethnic group, as are Brazilians (I’m from Bahia, baby!), and in both places, we are called “Black”, even though we’re multi-ethnic, because we have that “one drop”. That’s how the social construct of race works.
And you have to either play by the rules, or abandon the game altogether.
Then I choose to abandon the game, because children should be able to live as who they are, not abiding by some racist old rules of the past.
These kids have got some serious STYLE!
Her girls are beautiful, I think they both look very much like her. The only problem I have is why BCK never includes the guest or friend that’s with the celebrities kids & parents at the bottom of each picture that is taken. I want to know who the little boy that is with them in the pic above. I’m curious

Thandie’s kids are gorgeous–I just wish their hair was combed. In all the pictures I’ve seen of them, their hair is a mess and they’re dressed in mismatched clothes–although I must say I like the Marley shirt!

Lovely. They both look like mom, but in two different ways. However, the youngest is truly her mini-me.
Nico is mom’s mini me. Both girls are pretty.
Not a big fan of Thandie’s acting though but loved her in Colored Girls.
Something about that little girl screams model! lol. Maybe its that vest lol. Idk, but she is a cutie! It’s cute how she’s holding on to her mama. I like Ripley’s shirt, she’s cute too.

The only color-struck people here are the ones saying the lighter ones are cuter (for example Seal’s and Heidi Klum’s children).

WOW, I THINK ITS COOL HOW GENES PLAY A ROLE IN EVERYTHING. THANDIE IS HALF WHITE/BLACK AND HER HUSBAND IS WHITE. YET THE KIDS LOOK BLACK. I LOVE IT!

Her girls are pretty but I don’t care for their names. I rarely see Thandie anymore, she is a good actress though.
