MICHELLE OBAMA, FAMILY ARRIVE IN BOTSWANA
First lady Michelle Obama and her family arrived in Botswana Friday on the second leg of their weeklong goodwill visit to Africa. Upon arrival, the first lady, her mother Marian Robinson, her nephew Avery Robinson, daughter Sasha Obama,10, niece Leslie Robinson, and daughter Malia Obama,12, were all welcomed by traditional dancers in Gaborone.
The first lady and her family will return on Monday to the White House.

She definitely got taller. I would say she’s about 4’11, 5’0. But I’m not exactly sure.
Aren’t kids suppose to get taller? Did you think she was going to stay the same height as she ages?

The girls are growing into beautiful young girls. I love this family! The African girl/boys dancers look cute too. Always wanted to learn how to do African dancing.
The little girl dancing is so cute. The First Family can’t win…if they dress up too much people accuse them of using tax dollars and wasting them, and if they dress down, it is criticized.
Man, they live in a pressure cooker.
I think maybe they just wanted to stand back and observe.

I agree. Children should feel pressured to look perfect all the time. That’s not normal and it will drive kids crazy. I actually like to see pics of Sasha with her hair messed up and Malia in casual shirt and leggings. They’re not dolls or models.

Agreed. Even though they’re the first daughters they look just fine to me they aren’t dolls they are little children who deserve to be comfy at times.
@Tamika, I am sitting here saying I need Michelle’s suit. The style and cut of the suit with sash…she kills it everytime. Love it. I also agree about the girls. I think they look cute and they are on vacation. They don’t need to look like they are off the pages of Teen Vogue all the time. Good grief.
I checked the WH schedule and the First Family has no scheduled public events (besides Michelle) and they arrived very early in the mourning. No time for styling and profiling and they were probably really tired.
Malia and Sasha look so bored. lol
*Sigh*. When I die, I want to be reincarnated as Sasha & Malia. That’s right, I’m being selfish, I want to come back as both.

What is they wearing? Michelle looks like she is going to a karate class and Malia looks like she just rolled out of bed in her pj’s. They need to represent!!
I think they arrived really early in the mourning but I can’t say much for the clothes. They don’t have much public events today and their official duties are over. I kind like the sash on Michelle’s suit.
THEY DRESS PERFECT ALL THE TIME. WHY CANT THEY HAVE ONE DAY WHERE THEY DRESS COMFORTABLE? THEY LOOK GREAT EITHER WAY!
