ESSENCE ATKINS IS PREGNANT WITH HER FIRST CHILD!
Are We There Yet? star Essence Atkins is pregnant! The actress and her husband Jaime Mendez will welcome their first child together on Christmas Day.
“Our gratitude is overwhelming to have found each other and adding a baby to our happy home is truly a dream come true,” the couple tells People.com. “We are both elated and humbled by this amazing gift.”
Atkins and Mendez were married in Pasadena, California in September 2008.

I wonder if she’ll really have the baby on Christmas, just wondering in case she doesn’t go into labor on Christmas Day seeing as we all know that due dates are estimations. I know in my state that unless you go into labor naturally they won’t induce on Christmas, which is reasonable of course, but I wonder if they have the same protocol in other states.

Her husband is a Doctor and he is mixed or of latin heritage. They met on Match.com.
On match.com? Really? I’m glad she found love but I do not trust those sites.
She has been married to him for about 3/4 years now and they seem happy. He is a Physcian and cute. I think he is slightly older than she is but not too much..they look great together.
I know a couple of ppl that has tried that site and have found love. You have to be careful in any situation bc you can meet a “nut” anywhere..ie; club,on the street or even at college. But there have been some successful couples that have met via E-harmony or Match.com and Essence and he hubby are one of them, amongst thousands of other.
I think all men are nutsos..everyone of my brothers, father, friends, men I’ve dated & ran across..crazies!! We women just need to find the ones less nuts for us. LOL.
