Recent high school graduate Trey Smith poses in a black and white portrait. The teenage son of actor Will Smith took to social networking site Twitter this week to dispel rumors that his father and bonus mom, Jada Pinkett-Smith, have separated after 13 years of marriage.
“Did #WillandJada split? No they did NOT split ! False information,” Trey said on Twitter on Tuesday.
“Although we are reluctant to respond to these types of press reports, the rumors circulating about our relationship are completely false,” the Smiths followed with a joint statement. “We are still together, and our marriage is intact.”

The Smiths are a nice family and all the kids are well behaved and nice. I’m glad they aren’t splitting.
The handsomest and nicest of the Smith kids. Very refined-looking, as well.
Jaden and Trey are my fave Smith kids. I didn’t care if they stayed together or seperate/divorced. It had nothing to do with me or my relationship… so “shrugs” who cares…
I don’t like step mom. It just sounds eehh I dunno.Bonus mom sounds friendly to me. Like idk I can’t explain lol I rather call someone bonus mom than step mom. But does it really matter. The thing is that Jada treats him as her own and that’s all that matters.

Some people don’t prefer “stepmom” and it appears that Jada is one of them. “Bonus mom” is an acceptable option because it presents a familial relationship without overstepping the actual mother and providing a more positive spin on a word (stepmom) that has been historically perceived as negative. If that’s what they wanna call each other, go ‘head! Especially if she was a better stepmom than mine!

A few months of ago I read somewhere that is supposed to be playing college football. He is suppose to be really good.
I’ve always thought Trey was awkward looking, but so was Will when he was younger now look at that fine specimen! Celebs shoot down rumors and then months later it turns out the rumors were true. I hope this isn’t the case here because I love Will and Jada together!

But it would not be the end of the world if they did spilt, hope they don’t for the sake of their family.
However this is why I greatly dislke “social” media he should not be on their shooting down rumors, just ignore them if they are not true!

Wow…so many people “butt-hurt” over the words “bonus-mom”. I think it’s cute and different from the drab words of “step-mom”. Is “bonus-mom” supposed to be offensive?…if anything I think they should do away with “step”.

It’s not offensive it’s just stupid. Sorry if others have opposing views, yours aren’t better just because you think it’s “cute”. I am so sick of people trying to cute-sy everything up, as if changing the name and making it cute is really going to change what things really are, you are this person’s step parent/mother/father who has no legal holding over them, get over it. It doesn’t mean you don’t have a good relationship, love/care for one another, or that you’re Cinderella’s evil stepmother.
I understand your point of view, but that is how Jada refers to him, it’s a term of endearment with her and family, I see no problems with it; to each his/her own.

I have actually put some thought into this. Maybe jada looks at it as Trey is a bonus to her because she did marry Will. So in the end she got him and an extra son. IDK!
Sherley, there were some people who acted as if their relationship stood on Will and Jada’s marriage. I thought some people were going to lose their minds if the rumor was true. I’m glad it’s not true, but then again, if it was, it wasn’t going to affect any of us directly, so…
Anyway, Trey is a very handsome young man. In fact, off all the kids, he’s the one I like the most.

there were people posting that they are giving up on love if those two got divorced! WHY???? they are just human – there is nothing super human special about them. they are not the end all to what relationships will be. and jada going on about how much sex they have and how often and at friends houses in their bathrooms always made me wonder………..who is she trying to convince that they are so perfect together!! i could care less about their marriage and if they stay together. my life has nothing to do with theirs.
I know Teri, I read it on another site. Their grandparents have been married for 50yrs, their parents for 30, but Will & Jada are the only two who marriages have any meaning in the world. Please. He too is my fav of the Smith children.
@shesallthat..I think Jada had/has low self-esteem. I think all her talks of over rated sex was to prove to everyone & herself that she does deserve to be married to Will. I never looked at Will as something big but hey..*shrug*.
