BOW WOW: MY DAUGHTER HAS ‘MATURED ME AS A MAN’
Shad Moss a.k.a Bow Wow is a changed man! The new dad says that not only has fatherhood made him a better person, but it has made him a better rapper, too. In a blog post titled “Letter To My Fans: Daddy Is A Rolling Stone”, Bow Wow describes just how much his daughter Shai Moss has changed him for the better.
This will be the first time where ill be on tour since having my daughter. As a professional i know its my job to travel be gone for months out of the year, but this time ill be away from my baby girl. Its crazy because she dont know what daddy do yet… im prepared for the millions of questions she’s going to ask me. One of my favorite movies is “Walk Hard” i love it because i shared so many of the same things he was going through. He was missing birthdays, all kinds of things that as a parent you dont and just cant miss. Talk about the life of a rolling stone…. ….I just want my daughter to know that im out here grinding. Working harder then ever because im still young and tomorrow ain’t promised. Everything i do i do it for her. Even if i go a month with out seeing her because im on the road or in another country, its for her and her future.
….She has matured me as a man, made me look at life different, and realize whats important. I used to be stuck on jewelry cars and all dat [stuff]. NOW.. ima different person. feel like a new artist . Helped me and my moms communicate better. I Could NEVER See Bow Wow Not Being in his Child Life his Father was NEVER there when he grew up. He stated plenty of time before shai was born that he would NEVER not be with his child and when hes not there with shai he skype every night with her.

He doesn’t have to prove nothing to no one, besides this little girl, her mother & his mother. A person’s life can be changed in a second. Thats like a person doing drugs & see’s their drug buddy passed out, that will change their life. So Shai could have changed her dad’s life as soon as she took her 1st birth. People always find something negative to say in something so positive smh
I’m glad he’s embracing fatherhood so well. But I don’t agree babies make a person mature. Try telling that to all the dead beat moms/dads in the world.
I love BOW WOW! I was his number one fan back in the day…dont know why ppl is ripping him now. He was never in trouble and always worked either in music or as an actor. He will be a great dad to Shai..I love the photo too! She is a beautiful girl.

But I’m proud of Bow Wow. He was my 1st celeb crush when I was younger lol. There are 40 yr old men that have kids & still won’t grow up so I’m glad he re-prioritize himself. I be he & his mom is spoiling her like crazy.

People get on celebs for leaving their kids for months but there are non-celeb parents that leave their kids b/c of work & aren’t involved in their kids life that much.

It is a positive thing for him to take care of his daughter,but he does not need to be using this as an excuse to be running in between the child’s mother and Angela Simmons.He needs to make up his mind on what his is going to do,I personally prefer him to be with Angela because she has a career,her own money and is a nice young lady.

I’m sorry but his mother should have made his education more of a priority or should have gotten him a better tutor because his writing skills are awful. Glad to hear that his priorities have changed and I hope he instills in his daughter the importance of an education and encourages her to be something other than an entertainer.
Kids have a way of making you re-focus and re-prioritze. Hats off to him for realizing that.

Not trying to knock him but she’s only 5mnths, she hasn’t been around long enough for us or Bow Wow to know if he has changed into a different man. It’s obvious he misses her like crazy though. Time will tell Bow Wow.
I agree. Loving someone is great but it is not enough to raise a child, you need actions to follow up behind the feeling.
Agreed. In 20 years he will regret spending months away at a time from his daughter because of his career/money. These are times he will never get back … moments pass and they are gone. It shows his mentality, how young he is and how much more learning and growing he really has to do. Babies having Babies.
People have to work to feed their children everyday. His job is entertainment…I wonder if you said all this about Beyonce’s pregnancy. I don’t think she plans to retire and her husband is 40+ still partying. Anyway kudos to Bow Wow.
