I for one could not care less who this man is married to. I never found him attractive and I hate the way he acts as though all black women are angry and jelous of his wife. Chocolate me is a good idea, but some of the things I have heard him say over the years, leads me to think that he has problems of his own that he needs to work on before tryin to teach black children about self love.
There are different stages in learning how to attack internalized racism. Not everyone will come out swinging fully “conscious.” Kudos to Taye for taking steps for himself and for children in turning self-hate into self-love. Us bashing him will definately not help him get to where he needs to be.

funny……has it ever crossed anyones mind the Taye married his wife because he met her and fell in love with her……and what if he prefers white women…who cares….people have preferences…some like latino looking guys/women, some like asian, some like black, some like white….it doesnt mean that said person hates his own race….for whatever reason they feel attracted to that other one. you people are killing me with all that hating…….just let people love and live and stop hatin
My nephew plays football in middle school. 13yo. Made the all-state team 3 yrs in a row. He played for the state when he was younger. If they tried to sit him down because of how good he was, I know my sisters and I would have definately had done something about it. It’s a shame, making that young man sit out because he’s more talented than the other boys on the team. This is a great way for him to get scholarships and stuff. He needs to be seen
Well no other kids would want to play when they know that they have absolutely no chance of winning.I think they were trying to save the game no punish that one kid.Maybe your nephew should look into playing on a team with some older kids.
Taye Digs is full of it. He Still feel inferior about being chocolate. That why he married a white women to make sure he do not produce any chocolate children.

Although, I really dislike that some Black men are suckered in to preferring non-Blackness… I have to admit that I don’t understand the hatred Bw (on this site particularly) have for Mr. Diggs
Every post, I can guarantee there will be a few comments mentioning his obsession with skin color. Clearly it has affected his life to the point where it’s a big enough issue for him to speak about constantly.
Even though he has this issue he is obviously trying to make good out of it. His book is a cute idea… all those kiddies at the book signing were adorable and made me realize just how needed something like this is for our little brown babies
So I commend Mr. Diggs for making this book
I agree with you. The hatred is becoming a bit much. They started disliking Taye Diggs when he married a Caucasian woman. I remember when the hate started.
They need to let that man live his life. I love the book and it sends a POSITIVE MESSAGE to young children.

Hey Misunderstood!!!! Yes it is cold here in the midwest but not that bad.
I thought Josh and Ebony was going to be okay also..when I heard they got busted I said, NO! They have ruined their lives bc those are some serious charges that will never go away. When they apply for jobs or college, it will show up. Plus Josh or Ebony will never be able to return to the military again. I hope the baby will be okay.
And I was over Eric Benet when he did what he did to Halle then lied to cover it up…men. I just dont know anymore…

SMH@Taye Diggs…he is similar to that Isaiah Mustafa character in my book, only Mustafa came out publicly stating his truths while Taye continues to fake it and pretend. “Chocolate like Me”…really? Idk, how could his son relate when he isnt even chocolate like him. Just wondering why all the kids in the audience Bi-racial? Why weren’t there any “chocolate kids” in the audience? This book is based on Taye’s own insecure self when he were a child AND adult. His son will be fine considering there are more bi-racial kids in this country today. We need books for the full Black kids since they are being left out, this book wont help.
About the 11 yr old boy, I think the school is very wrong for having him hold back his talents and gifts just bc he is an excellent player on the field. His gifts should be awarded and mediocrity should never be accepted when the child clearly can do better.
Dont forget to throw Mechad Brooks, Cuba Gooding, Sean Wayans and Wayne Brady in that bunch with Taye Diggs and Mustafa. They are all similar and lost souls.

The Conrad Murray trial testimony of Paris and Prince having to see their father dead was so heartbreaking. There was also no reason whatsoever to show MJ dead on that gurney! I tell you, people just don’t have any dignity or respect for other human beings.
I was given Propofol during a procedure by an anesthesiologist. That stuff is no joke. That along with the Lorazapam should never have been administered to MJ. It’s a crying shame!

I am keeping MJ’s 3 children in my prayers..having that memory in her head & having to not only relive it during the trial, but having to testify you saw it, is hard. Hope they are getting or had therapy to help them deal with it.
How can you possibly properly justify banning anyone, let alone an 11 yr old, from scoring touchdowns? Is this taken from the NFL, college pros? If that was my child, I would take my child off the team & see how well the school does w/o him. Of course I would place him in another league that doesn’t have so much fooliness.

I heard the testimony wrap up during the news & the image of Paris standing watching her father die, screaming daddy & running to him, came into my head & broke my heart. I really wish they didn’t have to see him in that element, but it’s done.
Also Teri, the holding off in posting the regular BCK commentors has gotten way beyond old. But it’s their site & I like it so, what can I do? *shrug*
I wonder can his parents sue the school for doing this? it is unfair to this little boy.
