UPCOMING: LIL NIQO IS RAPPING HIS WAY TO THE TOP
Lil Niqo, whose real name is Niqoles Heard-Goodwin, started rapping at the tender age of seven and hasn’t stopped since. Just this past Tuesday, the self-proclaimed “Boy Wonder” was featured on television show BET 106 & Park and revealed that he is ready to “bring back the positive energy back to hip-hop. Hip-hop isn’t a culture like it used to be back in the days,” he says.
VIDEO: Watch Lil Niqo on 106 and Park
At 11 years old, Lil Niqo is the youngest rapper to ever sign with legendary label Def Jam. His first single “OK Then”, feat. DJ Khaled, has already garnered close to one million hits on Youtube. Check out the video below featuring a cameo by rapper P-Nut:

It’s hard to get excited about kid rappers. At least he’s positive I guess…
Not all kids want to act and sing/rap. I have a friend who’s son wants to be a Doctor and he has the grades/SAT scores to get into any college he choses. He is looking at Ivy League schools. And there are other kids that want to be teachers, lawyers etc. Its just that they dont get press time. But need entertainers, athletes as much as we need educated professionals…it makes our world more alot more fun and interesting, in my opinion.
Diversity makes the world go ’round! Great that some want to be singers, actors, doctors, lawyers, scientists, artists, etc. Not everyone wants to be a performer, nor should they try. But there are some that are just naturals and when they step on a stage, or are part of a worship service, or do an open mic, they just SHINE and you know watching them, that they should follow their dreams. Lil Niqo is obviously one of those who shines. Of course education should always be a priority, esp.when they are so young. It is up to parents and managers to be sure that the performer has a tutor, if they are unable to stay in mainstream school and the performer needs to keep education a priority. With this new generation of hip hop performers, the positive lyrics, catchy hooks and non-sexual, non-swearing lyrics and images makes a lot of folks who love the hip hop beat but not the adult x-rated lyrics, want to listen to them and wish them all the best! Let’s encourage this, not tear it down!! “LET’S GO”, LIL NIQO AND #TEAMNAKIAMARIE.
