TERRELL OWENS’ CHILDREN DRIVE HIM TO BANKRUPTCY
NFL star Terrell Owens is bankrupt, and can no longer afford to pay for child support. According to TMZ, the sports star filed for a motion to have his support payments lowered because he makes “Zero Dollars.”
Terrell apparently has four children, all with different mothers. Owens was ordered to pay all, except one, mother $20,000 per month. In addition, Terrell opted to give Monique Reynold, also known as Baby Mamma #1, $100,000 to buy a house.
No longer capable of paying $240,000 annually for each child, Owens is seeking relief from a family judge on the child support issue. With bench warrants and court costs at hand, Terrell probably wishes he would have built a family with one and not several mothers.

I can’t understand how someone who Has made millions of dollars over the course of his career can be broke. Typically child support is based a person income so if he was forking out that much each month he must have been making some serious money at one time. I definitely agree that since he no longer makes his NFL money he needs to get his support payments adjusted.
I sure hope and pray that he has learned something from all this.
I think hes getting what he deserves because he didnt know how to manage his money. He is a millionare who laid down and had children. Child support is determined by how much u make and he made millions so why shouldnt the child get 20k a month? If you want to be a baller and live that lifestyle it ultimately means if you have children with someone ur bringing ur baby mom and child into your lifestyle.
I know child support is based on income-but there is no way those kids need $20K a month! Seriously, is it really going toward the child’s welfare or is it going to the mother’s material gain?
Mr. Owens should be ashamed of himself. Didn’t anyone have “THE TALK” with him. My dad literally has “THE TALK” once a month with my two older brothers and two older cousins. “THE TALK” is actually scheduled on the family planner that goes out every month. “THE TALK” goes like this…“ALL A WOMAN CAN DO IS CHOOSE TO ABORT OR CARRY THE CHILD THAT YOU CARELESSLY GAVE HER. No matter what a woman says ALWAYS USE A CONDOM (PROPERLY BECAUSE A LOT OF MEN DON’T) The only woman you should be having unprotected sex with is your wife”.
20K may sound like a lot but for what he was making it was reasonable. The first time he got hit with having to pay 20K a month should have woke him up and self preservation should have kicked in. I’m a girl so I won’t call any of the children’s mothers “out of their name” but they wouldn’t have a baby and a 18 year paycheck if it wasn’t for his stupidity.
“YOU PLAY YOU PAY” My age mate’s dad was caught with his hand in the cookie jar (well the nanny jar HAHA) in addition to over 100K a month (YES, 100K) in child support he has to pay her tuition of 17k a month. Just like Mr. Owens he knew what his salary was and what he stood to lose, he did it anyway and now he has to pay.
On another note I’m not letting him off the hook but my mom says (she’s a JD) that if he HONESTLY cannot pay the 20K per month he should ask for a reduction and he should be HONEST AND OPEN with the judge about his finances. It’s better his kids get something than nothing. Also the judge should make the mother’s put ½ the amount into a trust for the kids and have them account for where the money is being spent. The money is to be spent on Mr. Owens kids, not their siblings, or mothers boyfriends.
I feel for the kids…Safe sex is cheaper and smarter..these athletes try and live these lifestyles of women and fast cars then cry about it…child please!

I dont feel sorry for no man that has that many kids with that many women. He knew what he was doing, now he has to pay or go to jail or whatever. Now the 20,000 for each child. If the parents are living luxury the kids should too. whether they together or not.

LOL You never hear of Wayne having any baby mama drama. Never hear about the mother of kids saying he don’t see them or speak to them when he’s out on tour. & You don’t hear about him not paying for his kids. lol

The title of this post is somewhat misleading. His children did not drive him to bankruptcy; he obviously did not manage the money properly. Its not about how much money you make, but rather how much you keep MC Hammer, another classic prime example …. 36million dollars gone .. most of us would never see that in 7 lifetimes … its about managing the money properly ….. creating a budget and living within those means …. but for multimillion dollar earners, unfortunately, budgets are just not adhered to. Why did he not have more help? This had to have been coming for some time … he needed/s a financial adviser.

& an example to women to use birth control, or use female condoms, or make sure the man is wearing a condom so they won’t be stuck providing for a baby on their own. These women only have 1 kid w/ this man, which means if they do or plan on having anymore kids they will have multiple baby daddys meaning their kids will being in separate house at times
I am glad you brought up the women. Nobody can become someone’s 3rd or 4th baby mama unless she allows herself to become such. The men are trifling for going around making all these babies but some of these women are just as bad because they are having the babies merely for a payday. These women need to get some self-esteem, self-respect, and most of all a JOB!
I’m trying to feel sorry for him, but i cant- these stars need to stop making babies all over the place, with different women…babies are expensive, regardless of how much money one earns per month or what social class one belongs to!

The title of this article is off putting….His kids didnt drive him to bankruptcy. He made those children, so he is entitled to take care of them. However 20k a month is a bit absurd. A child/family could live off much less. Sorry that he has no money but it is still his resposiblity to help provide for all 4 of his children…#wrapitup

for a man that was making over 600,000 dollars a month, 20,000 is not drastic for a child. your child should be able to live as comfortable as you.
The child should live comfortably but he should not be expected to support the lifestyle of the mother. It isn’t alimony for goodness sake…I hope but doubt that any of these mothers were banking this cash for the future…SMH

I do not get it either. I have one child and people always say why dont you have more than one kid at your age? And I say b/c I am not married yet and I refuse to just have kids by men just b/c they feel I should.

But I know it depends on the lifestyle the parent has. But this man was on tv crying about being broke, so he clearly can’t afford too pay alot. Hopefully the mothers were being smart & put the money in a savings for the kids. B/c there are some baby mama’s out there that don’t get a job & live off that money to support themselves & their other kids that aren’t by the man
