I think she did fine I mean she is only eleven so what do people actually expect. She is doing what an eleven year old in this entertaintmemnt business should be doing and that is making age appropriate music for kids. And as far as the singing goes if you really believe you need a voice in this business then wake up all you need now is an image to sell records and the studio can do the rest.
She is a kid, let her enjoy this time of her life. What were we doing at 11 years old?
I love the Smith kids, I have to say though that the song & performance was bad!! Whip my hair is by far IN MY OPINION her best song. I hate to sound harsh towards an 11 year old child but like one poster put it. Her parents signed her up for this, you cannot please everyone because we all have an opinion so she has to deal with the criticism both good & bad.
Hey she did better than chris brown who always shows that he’s not singing the songs and when he do he lets the audience sing for him cause he’s out of breath! Way to go Willow!
True, but I enjoyed her performance. She did well…I mean she’s only 11.
The Jamaican “reggae” they keep adding to songs is odd. If you’re not Jamaican PLEASE STOP. Nicki Minaj doesn’t sound bad using the voice.
Nicki is from Trinidad so her accent is more authentic. But i have to agree w/ you, i don’t like when people put on accents lol. Coming from a Jamaican, it irritates me lol. But I didn’t hear an accent from Willow, maybe i wasn’t really paying attention lol
HOW DOES IT FEEL TO HATE ON AN 11 YEAR OLD?
GYRL BYE! Most of yall dont like MB but no one call yall haters. Not everyone will like a kid who cant sing. Check out the other blogs. Her parents threw her into this game so now she and them must deal with the good and the bad.
SERIOUSLY HAVE A HEART. SHE IS ELEVEN. I ENCOURAGE ALL KIDS INCLUDING MB. BLACK KIDS NEED ENCOURAGEMENT. STOP PUTTING HER DOWN JUST BECAUSE OF WHO HER PARENTS ARE.
This is catchy…I can’t wait to hear the verse with Nicky Minaj. They sound fun together.
she needs to work on her stage performance and voice she was ok
I love Willow!! I can’t wait till her album comes out so I can buy it for my nieces and goddaughter! =)
BCK how come you never post on the Rachel Crow whose on the x-factor, i think she’s like 13 & she can sing! She was a crack baby & was adopted 6 months. She said if she wins, she wants to buy a bigger house b/c she’s a girl & she needs her own bathroom lol. She’s so cute
She is cute! Reminds me of a mini Marsha Ambrosius! Her spirit is so warm! Gotta love that little girl! She’ll go far!!
She do remind me of Marsha also..good comparison.
She is a young woman that is doing positive things in life instead of negative. That is a wonderful thing. If I had a daughter and she was Willow I would be supporting her all the way. I am not saying she is such a great entertainer or anything but who cares nowadays! 85% of the supposed entertainers of today really are not that talented. It is all about image and a glimmer of ability.
Go Miss Willow Camille Reign! I enjoyed your performance yesterday. I love children that have talent. Her vocal range is fine. She did what the song required. This isn’t a ballad. The child can sing and people can’t stand the fact that she’s talented. They can’t stand the fact that she’s only 11 and can do the things she does. I believe it! Looking forward to seeing more!
wowo for bein young she has talent but willow needs to learn how to project her voice a lil more a nice song if she can sing it then talkn through it…. mostly.
that sounds NICKI MINAJ all the way….it’s cute!
This post will get “nasty” only because you all keep insinuating that. Constructive criticism is where it’s all about. Not everyone will like Willow’s performances or songs all the time. It’s not easy being an entertainer, therfore i hope her parents are not only preparing her for the highs but also the lows that can come with the business…actually in life.
This ^^^
I too know this post is gonna get nasty.. But before it does.. Let me just say that I think Willow can sing.. I just think they need to give her some songs where she can show off her ability more. I mean i do remember watching Ellen and she killed it. When she sang Rihanna in the start of it and hitting the notes. This song.. She did okay but she could have done better. Then again congrats Willow. I didn’t know it went double platinum! That’s crazy for being 11. She needs to show off her voice more that’s all
Errr, uh, well at least her dancers were good. Lip synching? eh Well her parents signed her up for this so she will have to learn to deal with the good and bad parts of entertainment. Sorry this isnt a pefect world and the ent. business today is a beast. Better selection in outfit choice next time, mum Jada!
LIP SYNCING…NO! SHE PERFORMED LIKE MOST ADULTS IN THE INDUSTRY. SHE CAN ACTUALLY SING AND SHE HAS PROVEN IT OVER AND OVER AGAIN. GET OFF HER BACK AND STOP HATING ON AN 11 YEAR OLD!
I dont like her outfits and she look better in her braids. The performance was ok but I dont like the song. I dont think she can sing well if you call what she did singing.
I beg to differ. I believe she can indeed sing. I just dont think it is where their emphasis lies, in her performance. Her video for the making of her song epiphany you cat actually tell she has a nice voice, but we gotta be real, with the direction the music industry is taking now, which will sell more, epiphany or fireball. her very first performance on Ellen, she sang one line of Rihanna’s song and I’ll always believe that the whole point of that was to showcase her vocal ability.
Agreed. She has a voice on her they just need to let her show it more.I’d love to hear her sing a ballad. Like Ephipany.
I think she did mention that some were on her album? But she does have a voice. She just needs to show it more.
And another thing. Aww why did she reshave her sides again ?They were fully grown back and I was happy!Lol.
YOU CAN TELL SHE CAN SING. TOWARDS THE END OF THE SONG SHE WAS SINGING WITHOUT THE BACKGROUND AND SHE SOUNDED GREAT. I CAN TELL SHE HAS A GOOD VOICE FOR AN 11 YEAR OLD.
She cant sing and she was lip singing anyways.. Rachel Crow CAN sing and sing very well. I bet at 11 Rachel was singing good. There are plenty of 11 yo kids that could sing rings around willow but dont have the opportunities or money Willow has. why do you think they keep giving her these catchy songs to do..bc she cannot do a strong ballad likd Rachel Crow or TIffany Evans did. Period! Willow just better be thanking her daddy everyday is all im saying!
No one is saying that she has the best voice, but to make it out as if she cannot sing is not cool. She does have a nice lil voice and I believe that she just dont sing songs to show case it. Jamia Nash, Tiffany Evans and Rachel Crow all have wonderful voices, different types of voices, but not discount Willows voice. Her parents did indeed open doors for her, but they did not force two million people to buy her single. How is this different from a plumber teaching his his son the trade and adding and Sons to his business when he bes=comes of age. Same as any lawyer whose kid go to law school then start in the firm and it become and sons.
I love Willow. She’s my favorite BCKer.
I can just predict what the commnets in this post are gonna be like about this child & her family already…
Lol me too. & like i said in a previous post. The comments are totally different when it comes to her & China from Disney. Its like people have this thing against celeb kids, especially Willow, who want to be in the entertainment biz. I think its funny
Anyway, Willow is getting so tall. I see her doing modeling in the feature. I like this song & it looks like she was having fun on stage
