JAMELIA LIGHTS UP THE NIGHT IN BIRMINGHAM
Pop star Jamelia recently visited Birmingham with her two children. While in the city, the three participated in the annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony at the Birmingham Children’s Hospital. The ceremony marked the beginning of the yearly Light Up a Child’s Life fundraising campaign. The fundraiser encourages individuals to purchase a light on the Christmas tree in support of the hospital’s efforts to accommodate children who are admitted.
A Birmingham native, Jamelia is aware of the hospital’s work and thought it necessary to give back to her childhood community. As the singer states, “I’ve been all too aware of the fantastic work that Birmingham Children’s Hospital does and so I was honoured and I jumped at the chance. Its important for my children, and myself, to do something and give something back to put a smile on the faces of people especially at this time of year.”
Jamelia recently released her album Rebel, and is currently working on a new project. The pop star has two daughters, Tiani,6, and Teja,10.

Teja is Jamilia’s twin. Beautiful three. Teja and Tiani remind me of my older sister and I.
She & her daughters are beauties. Am I the only one smilled brighter upon seeing Blacks helping out whites instead of it being the other way around, like the media always shows?
I think the facts in this post are a little incorrect? I believe this took place at the Birmingham Childrens Hospital in the UK… As well the singer is not an Alabama native, she is a native of the Birminghan, West Midlands, England… might want to do a small fact check
The article did not once mention Alabama.
Actually, it did. Earlier it stated she was an Alabama native and that the hospital was in Birmingham, AL. BCK corrected the article quickly. Why would I mention it otherwise… Thanks for playing though
I thought I was loosing it.. It did say Alabama.. smh
I read this article twice..once upon clicking it & again after reading your comment. I didn’t not see Alabama mentioned in the article at all. Maybe you’re the one who needs the fact check?
Thanks Shirley, but things do change pretty rapidly on the WWW. Actually I was the one who read the article first apparently and noted the mistake upon first reading… BCK handled it and that’s all that matters!
If that was the case, pls accept my apologies then..
I honestly never heard of her but her girls are pretty and she is gorgeous.
Awww
