Thier kinda nice my friend she has been bullied sixth and seventh grade(present) she has a ton load of songs she can sing dance act and write but her songs is more deeper and expressing her life and how sh stays positive but these girls are cool they should check my friend out though she’s 13 and terrific

YFG got the idea to write their “Keep it Movin’” when a couple of the group members were being cyber bullied. The bullies were saying things to shake their self-confidence. YFG decided to keep their heads up and talk about themselves in a positive manner despite the criticism of “haters”/bullies. They named the song “Keep it Movin’” and adopted this as their mantra for looking ahead and not letting others who are mean-spirited stop them. They dedicated their video to anti-bullying and have received extremely positive feedback for doing so. Big shout-out to CBS Atlanta for featuring YFG to help spread the word about how kids in schools can combat bullies by having self confidence and a desire to “Keep it Movin’”. Great job, YFG!

I’m confused. Apart from scenes in the video and the shirts proclaiming “No Bullying”, how is one supposed to know this is a song about standing up to bullying?

This is an age-appropriate song and it’s cute but there’s a disconnect between the lyrics and the cause.

YFG could have chosen any subject matter to focus on with their video. However, YFG was inspired to create their first video of the Keep It Movin’ song in support of the “No Bullying” movement. They feel that the best way to defeat bullies is to have self confidence, a positive attitude and desire to “Keep it Movin’”!

Everyone should get involved to help stop bullying. As you can see, not everyone will agree with your approach, but at least you can say you tried to do something. There will be naysayers in your life, but as YFG says, “Keep it Movin’”!
