UPCOMING: 11 YEAR-OLD CEO

Maya Penn is 11 years old, in the 7th grade, and is like most kids her age in many ways. However, there is one very big difference between her and most of her pre-teen peers, she is the CEO and owner of her own company, Maya’s Ideas.

The young business woman designs and hand makes clothes and accessories that are eco-friendly and fashionable. She was also recently featured on forbes.com for her apparel, but she’s not stopping there. She’s also a frequent blogger and is dabbling in animation.

Check out a recent interview of the young entrepreneur on MyFox Atlanta.

Here’s a girl I have so much respect for. Going to school and still doing what she loves, and her parents keep her grounded. God bless this wonderful family.

PLENTY OF BLACK PEOPLE GO TO COLLEGE. THATS NOT ANYTHING NEW! WHAT IS NEW IS THE FACT THAT SHE IS THINKING OUTSIDE OF THE BOX.

Everyone that comes into contact with children on a daily basis needs to show them this video. What an inspiration she is to the young and not so young. How wonderful of her to recognize her talent, deciding she could probably sell it, and doing just that. Just awesome! Love her hair, too.
