AMANDLA STENBERG STARS IN THE HUNGER GAMES
Los Angeles native Amandla Stenberg is no stranger to the big screen. She recently acted along side Zoe Saldana in the 2011 movie Columbiana where she played Cataleya and is scheduled to play Taylor in A Taste of Romance, set to release this year.
But, it’s Amandla’s latest starring role as Rue in the movie adaptation of the young adult novel, The Hunger Games, that will push the 13 year old actress right into the limelight of Twilight-like success. In the movie, Rue (Amandla) is a small girl that is a part District 11. Rue is underestimated by her competition at 74th Annual Hunger Games.
Fans of The Hunger Games trilogy know how the story ends, but it won’t be before Amandla makes a splash in her role.
