This big girl was seen in a pink velvet dress with satin accents and get this… sparkling CHUCKS! Too cute. That’s definitely a great way to bring “playing dress-up” to the playground. Substituting sparking Chuck Taylors for dress shoes on little girls… pretty awesome, right?

And what do the rest of you buy for your kids(if you have them) for their birthday/Xmas/Easter/confirmation/graduation? Come on, now. Be honest. My mom was struggling but she always set aside/or worked more to give us a “special” outfit for certain occasions. I found that was the norm. And you could only wear it on certain occasions and not get it dirty/move/enjoy wearing it lol!
i love a good bargain, but if money wasn’t an issue i wouldn’t think twice about buying my baby a dress like that for a special occasion.
I don’t have kids, but if I did and I bought them a dress for 249.00, I would just save the dress for the next one or pass it on to a family member for them to use, and then they’ll most likely pass it on to someone else. I think it’s okay to buy clothes no matter the price, as long as it’s going to get a lot of wear out of it. Violet is such a cutie, and she is starting to look like Christina, at least in the nose area; and shared facial expressions.
Funny thing is it’s not a splurge to the rich and famous, it’s the norm, their way of life. On the flip side, you have working class people that spend money on things like this when they know they can’t afford it!!! LOL

Sidebar: I don’t like the color pink. There are so many other girly colors out there. LOL! My little girl will not be in pink. It might have pink in the shirt, but that’s about it.
