BOW WOW SAYS FATHERHOOD WAS THE BEST THING THAT EVER HAPPENED TO HIM
Shad Moss, a.k.a. Bow Wow, is a proud father who intends to give his daughter every opportunity in life. In a recent interview with Hip Hop Wired, Bow Wow said that fatherhood has changed him for the better. “It just really made me go harder,” says Moss, “It just made me understand life a little bit more. One thing that it definitely taught me was some patience, and I’m definitely still working on that. She’s the best thing to happen to me. A woman will tell you, the dude gon’ always be the same, it’s the woman that got to go through that [change]. For me, I feel that same, no different than who I was three, four years ago.”
Although he was a bit rowdy in his late teen years, Bow Wow is not nervous about his baby girl dating someone like him. As he explains, “It’s just my job to make sure I give her the game that she needs to survive. Make sure that I tell her to watch out for guys like I was when I was 17 and 18, and wild. It’s gonna be hard for a little guy to come around because I got all the game, daddy got it all! I’m just gon’ put it all in her hands so she can see it and she gon’ know. She me all over again, she gon’ have everything I got, plus more.”
Bow Wow’s ex-girlfriend Joie Chavis gave birth to baby Shai last year. She is the former couple’s only child together.

Bow Wow falls in the category with Nick Cannon, Kevin Hart and the rest of these very proud dads! Bow Wow really seems to love his baby and I respect that! I was watching Like Mike just last night and seeing how little he was wow how he’s grown!
Eventhough he went into this situation kicking and fighting….I’m glad he’s made Peace with what God had in store for him. I’m also glad that the woman stood her ground and did right by having her child regardless. Bow Wow will be a great Dad and I hope he grows to respect his child’s mother and all that she’s had to and will endure in the future for their child.
I think the industry should promote counseling for young men having children like they do for young women having children. …because these young men need it too!
