Getting “you” back: 3 things that you can do to relax without breaking the bank
Being a mom doesn’t mean that you have to completely lose who you were before the kids came into the picture. There are times when everyone needs a break from the monotony and grind of everyday life and have a few moments to “reflect.” Here are 3 things that you can do to relax that don’t take much money or time away from your family.
1. Work out- Not only is working out a good way to have some time to clear your mind, it’s just plain good for you. Even if you have to push a stroller while you’re walking the park, you can still have that time to put your headphones in while the little one sleeps or enjoys the scenery.
2. Read- Reading can be a good way to escape to another world and get engrossed in something other than changing diapers and wiping tears. It can also give you something to look forward to at the end of the day, after everyone is in bed.
3. Hang out with a friend- Going out with friends is a great way to get out of the house for a few hours and talk to another adult about something other than kids and/or work. Even if it’s just a simple meet up for coffee or sitting in your friend’s living room, a change is the routine can be good.
Go home feeling rejuvenated and ready to take on anything that the kids throw your way. Happy Mommy, Happy House.

Thanks! I make sure I do this now,but before I wanted to do everything myself.I always felt like I had too,now I know that I need to drop my tot of with family, and do some things that I really enjoy like going to the movies with friends, work out classes etc. That alone time is what keeps us mom’s sane!
