WENDY WILLIAMS TALKS ‘THE KEVS’ IN LATEST ISSUE OF JET MAGAZINE
“I am not just a mother in name. I am a mother in act. I’m also a wife and a daughter. To me those things take precedence,” television host Wendy Williams says in a new interview with Jet magazine. Williams continues, “I had a career before I had my family. The career afforded me a lot of things, but what I was missing was a man and a child.”
Now that she has a ‘man’, Kevin Hunter Sr., and ‘child’, Kevin Hunter Jr., Wendy does everything she can to satisfy them. “I love the Kevs,” she exclaims, “I enjoy making the perfect hot dog and bean casserole; even like making a dentist appointment. I couldn’t just be a career woman or family woman, and the fact that I’m doing both is a mess. But it’s my mess, and it’s good.”
Wendy adds of her 11-year-old son, “Raising a young Black man is very different. We have taught him to be respectful to adults, and if they step out of line, let us handle it,” she says. “We tell him you don’t speak with your hands in your pocket. You’re a Black man. People will assume you have a gun, not a permission slip.”
“My son understands others may be fearful, but he loves being Black. He realizes the challenges that Black men have in general, old or young, educated or not.”

wendell mandy williams dont have to defend black people cos she always bring them down on her show…i put her inthe same category i put sandra rose….they always put hate on any black successful people especially black women

I for one don’t hate her her, but I majorly dislike her. The fact of life is that you can’t dog people, trash them, belittle them and then expect people to like you. It’s not going to happen. And before anyone says “She’s just telling it like it is…” and all that other blah blah blah,I’d like to say 1.) No she’s not and 2.) it’s not always what you say but how you say it.
Her son Kevin looks like a nice little dude though.
Lil Kev is getting big. No comment on Wendy as we have a love/hate relationship.

I use to love me some Wendy Williams and would defend her to the end! But her 2facedness(my word) really irks my last nerves! I get so sick of her dogging Black people! I’m sure she loves her baby as she wanted him so badly! He looks exactly like her now is that a good thing I don’t know!
