MINI DO-GOODER: EDEN SANAA DUNCAN-SMITH PERFORMS AT EQUALITY NOW EVENT

Twelve year old Eden Sanaa Duncan-Smith presented “When I Speak,” a piece written by director Joss Whedon, at the 20th Anniversary fundraiser event for Equality Now. The event was held last month at the Asia Society in New York City.

Eden appeared on Broadway in musicals such the “Lion King” and in the feature film, “I Am Legend.”

Equality Now is a civil rights organization aimed at protecting the rights of women and girls around the globe. The organization also educates and spreads awareness about issues pertaining to women that may have otherwise gone unnoticed.  The benefit was hosted by Jennifer Buffett, Gloria Steinem, Debra Winger, Jane Fonda and Joss Whedon (director of the new “Avengers” movie).

Check out more pictures of Eden and other performers at the event.
