ROCKO IS STUDENT OF THE YEAR
Rodney “Rocko” Hill,6, is dressed and ready for his first formal awards ceremony. Proud mamma Monica Brown tweets, “Headed to my son’s Awards Banquet, Rocko is student of the year #ProudMom.”
Monica recently committed to attending the Billboard Music Awards with Brandy Norwood and Gladys Knight. All three ladies will serve as presenters during the R&B segment of the ceremony. Brown recently released the album ‘New Life,’ which is expected to do well, with over 60,000 copies already purchased by exuberant fans.
When asked about her motivation for creating ‘New Life’ Monica said, “‘New Life’ is a continuation of the last album ‘Still Standing.’ [I was in the midst of so much and 'New Life'] is about me recognizing that there were great things on the other side [of what] I was in the midst of, and to not be so afraid of the possibilities. I’ve always been the type of person who believed in family. I wanted to be the best mom but yet and still wanted to be a great artist. [I wanted to] find that love that I had for the music again because I had been gone for four years, by choice, just strictly being a mom. [When creating 'New Life' I was] trying to really figure out what it was I wanted to say to the people.”
Monica and husband Shannon Brown are raising three children together.

I like Monica too, never had an issue with her. But I.don’t like Dwayne Wade..we all dislike a celebrity, we don’t know. I also don’t like George Bush, and I don’t know him.
I have no reason to dislike someone I don’t know at the end of the day these celebs can gives a rats what a random says about them *sips coffee*
I have a brain, & that working brain allows me to form opinions, have emotions & state them, whether in words or typing. I do not need to know someone to like them, dislike them, nor not have any opinions towards them. It just is.
Now for people to love worship someone they do not know but hate their own family members, that causes me pause, but hey, I was never one to conform to the norm.
So like I said..she seems like a good mother, but I am not fond of her yesterday, now & doubt I ever will be.
Long story. Met her a few times. She never did anything wrong per se & she is a genuinely nice person but…SMH.
