‘FEROCIOUS’ MAMA HALLE PLANS TO HAVE A SIT DOWN WITH OBAMA ABOUT THE PAPARAZZI

Halle Berry is serious about protecting her 4-year-old daughter Nahla, even to the point of talking with President Obama about the weak child protection laws that govern the country. ”I have been struggling,” Halle says, “There are no laws here that protect our children and as a mom, coming to the school… not only my child, but all the children that are there. It’s just wrong, wrong, wrong.”

Halle recently confronted a member of the paparazzi after she discovered him trying to take pictures of Nahla at school. Amidst her anger and obscenities, Berry exclaimed, “I’m doing something honorable. I’m not harassing people!” When later questioned about the incident Halle said, “I hate that I lost my cool, but you know, I’m human. That happens and when it comes to my daughter — I’m ferocious.”

Berry previously contemplated moving to France with Nahla and fiance Oliver Martinez. Such plans are on hold at the present due to Halle’s custody battle with Nahla’s father Gabriel Aubry.

It would be unselfish of Halle to have a second child for Nala to have in her life incase something happens to her and the child’s father. She can have someone else in her life besides her parents. Life is better when one has a sibling or few to share ideas or just spend valuable time with in childhood.

  • kc May 22, 2012 at 12:17 am

HA! Obama won’t give her the time of day.Its apart of being famous. She needs to get used to it already. We already know what her daughter looks like and we will always know.If she doesn’t like the laws here than she should just go ahead and go to France.I think the paparazi should just completely ignore her, especially when she has an upcoming film or something.I bet she’ll be begging for the free publicity in no time.

  • Toya May 18, 2012 at 11:13 am

These are innocent children for Christ Sake!!
There needs to be boundaries PERIOD!! Folks kill me “Deal with it” “Comes with the territory”
“Move” if it takes media sites to shutdown for the sake of the babies BYE BYE!!! I enjoy viewing pictures of all these beautiful children, but it’s not that serious!
Children need to be OFF LIMITS!!

  • Ranbee May 17, 2012 at 9:05 pm

Well i dont know why she gets so upset, because its not the paparazzi’s job to do what they do. She wanted to be a celebrity and that comes with it. Deal with it!

  • Dimpled2x May 17, 2012 at 7:14 pm

Well if the paps back off BCK would be close to non-existent. I say any place where other kids will be such as (schools, parties, etc.) should be off limits. Celeb parents know that it comes with the territory.

  • Doting May 17, 2012 at 5:27 pm

it makes me sad that everyone is bashing Halle for trying to protect her daughter. I don’t care if LA is papz ville, doesn’t mean they have the right to run her out of town. The paparazzi have absolutely no respect. And when it comes to children they should have no right to photograph a minor without a parents consent. Being a celebrity doesn’t strip away your humanity. *sigh* i know its going to take a tragic accident for something to be done about this. And even then maybe they will still turn a blind eye to this injustice.

  • tostitos4life May 17, 2012 at 11:50 am

I am so sick of Halle Berry, she wasn’t worried about the paps before. Is it something Halle trying to hide about her daughter? Angelina kids are photographed more than Nahla and she isn’t talking to the president…sighsss. Isn’t she moving to France?

  • Maria May 17, 2012 at 8:53 am

No she doesn’t latinas are white.

    • Oxford May 17, 2012 at 9:31 am

You cannot be; even with your name; a “latina” to make such an ignorant statement. Latinas come in every human color there is. Our gardener and his wife are from Santo Domingo, they are dark like Zoe Saldana, her parents can pass for white and their children are brownskinned like Halle Berry. One even looks Asian. We also have Puerto Ricans working for us, and they too, come in many shades.

  • NickyAngel May 17, 2012 at 2:09 am

I can understand that she wants to protect Nahla…but then all the other celebs who’s being harassed by the paps can all run to Obama and complain.

  • Pisces May 17, 2012 at 12:19 am

Halle can fire off some obscenities…remember her in “Jungle Fever” opposite Samuel Jackson “Gator” when she played crack head Vivian?

I said to myself, Halle can really cuss. I couldn’t tell if she was acting. She let the “F” bombs fly! No wonder she has an Oscar.

    • Pisces May 17, 2012 at 12:22 am

At least I am referencing her in the context of her acting profession, which few people do now a days since her movies don’t seem to be her primary focus anymore.

Nahla sure does have a far away look in her eyes in this photo, JMO!

    • Pisces May 17, 2012 at 12:34 am

And if Halle didn’t want Nahla to be snapped for this photo, why didn’t she take her sweater off and throw it over Nahla’s face? Looks like she gave the paps the money shot that they were looking for. She can start covering her up like Michael Jackson used to do if she doesn’t want to move to an obscure, unglamorous city like say, her place of birth, Cleveland , Ohio ( no disrespect meant to Ohioans ), Nahla might like it and like meeting some of her cousins and folks from her deceased grandpa’s side of the family.

    • Pisces May 17, 2012 at 12:41 am

Halle looks like an aging Filipina or Latina in this picture.

  • grannymac May 16, 2012 at 9:10 pm

I sympathize with Halle, but my question is, why now? Why blow up at the papz now they have been at her daughters school and every where else she and Nahla have been. I am wondering if this public out burst is for her custody battle to prove that she must take her daughter out of the country and away from her dad, since she is engaged now I wouldn’t put it past her. She is is a manipulater and she plays the paps like all celebs do. She even changed her “staple washed out jeans outft” and wore a dress for the scene, because she knew it would be broadcast every where, and involving the President, please Mr. Obama, tell Ms. Berry she needs to follow protocol.

  • Rue May 16, 2012 at 8:27 pm

Nothing like a little displaced anger, huh? Like someone else might have already pointed out; by choosing to live in the pap’s capital, (for what I believe could be nothing more than personal reasons) this woman hasn’t put her entire effort into protecting her daughter. So while I understand Halle may argue that she should have the right to live where ever she chooses (who shouldn’t?), I would hope the urgency surrounding the safety of her daughter, her daughter’s privacy, and innocence override this desire. Yes, I certainly believe the pap’s should have much more moderation, especially when children are concerned. However, this won’t be a reality any time soon and quite frankly, considering the hierarchy of those things needing the the president’s address, picking up the slack of selfish parents who are more than capable of altering their circumstances ranks quite pathetically.

  • Celeste May 16, 2012 at 7:40 pm

Plenty of celebrities have protected their children from the “papz”. Give Halle Berry a choice between being famous and rich & followed by the paparazzi and being not famous and being un-famous, not so rich and left alone I bet she would choose the former. Sure the paparazzi can be annoying but so can whiny people who want to bug the POTUS with their own personal problems.

    • lazzulah May 16, 2012 at 9:19 pm

i think people are making this an issue about Halle Berry when this is an issue about the child .

      • Celeste May 16, 2012 at 10:40 pm

Again, plenty of celebrities have protected their children from the “papz.”

  • Toya May 16, 2012 at 6:36 pm

Good for you Halle!! Those damn paps are OUT of CONTROL!! You have to start somewhere. And if Obama is not the right direction to start, I’m pretty sure, he/his staff will be more then willing to guide, advise her of the proper steps to take to try and have some sort of change come about. I couldn’t imagine those MF’s hounding my child like they do Nahla. Famous or not. Drama or not. That sh@t needs to STOP!!!

  • Tami May 16, 2012 at 3:33 pm

Oh please Obama has much bigger problems then this. Sorry Halle that’s the price you paid when you wanted to be an actress. And unfortunately it gets passed down to your kids. Raise her somewhere else. Hire more security. I don’t see other celebrities Complaning as much as her. Suck it up. That’s the price of fame

  • Sherley May 16, 2012 at 1:40 pm

SMH. I can understand what she’s saying but what does she think is going to happen? She’s a star, with a child & ongoing drama. IDK.

  • darnell May 16, 2012 at 1:00 pm

Why is it that everybody here thinks Halle should up and move because of the paps? That’s ridiculous! She shouldn’t have to move to another state to protect her kid. What gives the paps the right to stake out any school let alone a preschool. We saw what happened to Princess Diana, so Halle has every right to feel and react the way she has

    • PlainMean May 16, 2012 at 1:15 pm

Well, the paps aren’t moving! They make money by taking pictures of celebs, and she’s in a paparazzi hotspot so she’s either gonna put up or shut up….

    • Daniella May 16, 2012 at 1:16 pm

I think what’s annoying people is that Halle has said that she would have to move to France to get privacy for Nahla, which is totally untrue if you look at numerous other A-list celebrities & very well-known business people who have effectively protected their children from the paps, but still live in the United States. Hell, some celebrities like Robert Downey Jr., Matt Damon & the Trumps have even pulled it off in places like LA or NYC, respectively.

I think moving to another state or somewhere more private in California would be a whole lot less drastic than moving to another country across the Atlantic, like Halle’s suggested.

    • PlainMean May 16, 2012 at 1:16 pm

      Well, the paps aren’t moving…

    • Trisha May 16, 2012 at 1:33 pm

I agree. No matter where Halle goes, they will find her. Why? B/c she has drama surrounding her name right now. The paps weren’t checking for halle 4 years ago, b/c she was just “regular.” But once the whole child custody thing came out, the paps started stalking her, Nahla, & Gabe just to get the next magazine/blog headline. Those other celebs that have moved out of state, they were A-listers but they didn’t have any “juicy gossip.” When Brad & Angelina 1st got together & everybody was calling Angelina a home-wrecker, the paps found them all over the world & in every state of America. The paps have no respect, i know they gotta get paid someway but where is the line that says enough is enough?

      • PlainMean May 16, 2012 at 2:23 pm

They would still find her, but I don’t think that there would be as many or that they would be as aggressive in other cities. She’s in papparazi town so maybe if she relocate and she and Gabe’s people stop commenting to paps, things would be better for Nahla.

  • yo May 16, 2012 at 12:32 pm

Or children of celebrities have to leave LA. Demi moved to Iowa to give her kids a normal life. It’s not like Halle has an LA based show. MOVE.

  • Neonlove May 16, 2012 at 12:28 pm

Halle does have a little bit of a crazy streak lol. I would never want to cross her. She does however have every right to protect her child. You can’t trust this world. T-boz was angry at the paps for the same thing. Let her take her child to school in peace

  • daya May 16, 2012 at 12:05 pm

1st of all if she wants the paparazzi to leave her alone maybe she should move 1 town over. i watched the new show about Clint Eastwood’s kids and they aren’t bothered by the paparazzi, why because they don’t live in LA or that thirty mile zone…duh stupid

Halle is just self-centered…and a crazy [person]

  • mayflur May 16, 2012 at 11:12 am

You go Halle, it has to start somewhere and Obama is an excellent place.

  • KekeB May 16, 2012 at 11:07 am

I agree with Halle 100%. Children should not be harassed or have their privacy violated like that, snapping pics of her in school?? That is outrageous. There need to be laws in place to protect children, she shouldnt have to move.

  • Oxford May 16, 2012 at 11:05 am

Nahla’a parents could do a better job of protecting her from the press…they choose not to. If Nahla’s school didn’t have secondary egress OSHA would have shut it down. Her parents choose to leave with her through the front. Nahla cannot be the only child with wealthy/famous parents going to that school, that means there is a protected rear exit that they choose not to use.

Gabriel still using the front? I bet that “Gabe” is NOT paying a dime of Nahla’s tuition that means that Halle calls the shots when it comes to when/if Gabe can pick Nahla up from school.

Maybe I’m just spoiled and my parents are uber overprotective but what is Obama supposed to do for Halle that she as a concerned proactive parent can’t?

BTW if the press keeps finding you on the beach…start going to another one…unless you LIKE the press finding you on the beach.

  • Misunderstood May 16, 2012 at 11:00 am

I definitely feel the President has more to deal with then this, but I have to agree with Halle the paparazzi is getting out of hand. Stop taking pictures or innocent babies!!

  • Daniella May 16, 2012 at 10:54 am

I think the president has much bigger things to deal with than the privacy of celebrity children. Halle has more than enough money to live anywhere she wants in the United States, so if she really wants Nahla to have her privacy, then she should do what countless other A-list actors & actresses have done: move out of Hollywood/Malibu/Beverly Hills.

We’ve got 50 states in this huge country, so I’m pretty sure she could follow Harrison Ford’s, Julia Roberts’, or Nicole Kidman’s examples & find a private, paps-free community for Nahla to grow up in. If three of the top-billed actors/actresses in history can keep their children away from the paps, then so can Halle if she tried hard enough.

    • universitychick May 16, 2012 at 11:59 am

      Thank you! :)

  • C.J. May 16, 2012 at 10:48 am

I’ve been hearing for years now that Halle calls the papz… Regardless, the papz should be forced to stand back a certain distance from the children and not be allowed to photograph them outside of schools, daycares, hospitals, etc.

  • PlainMean May 16, 2012 at 10:48 am

I wish she’d get over herself. If she can move to France, she can move to some other place in the States where the paparazzi aren’t lurking. Get out of LA. It’s not like her acting career is popping. They only follow her and Nahla because of her public baby daddy drama.

    • C.J. May 16, 2012 at 10:49 am

My thoughts exactly. How can you live in a paparazzi hotspot and then complain about them?

    • DEESH May 16, 2012 at 4:34 pm

I SOOO AGREE!!!! thats part of the celeb life!

  • Trisha May 16, 2012 at 10:10 am

I think something needs to be done, the paps are getting out of hand. But I don’t think she knows the steps she has to go thru to get a law be put in place. But she probably had a few conversations w/ Obama before so maybe all she gotta do is go to that. Obama could benefit from the law b/c of his kids. But i don’t see any law being put into place until someone gets really hurt. That’s how it always is. The paps should not be allowed to sit outside of preschools, there are other non celeb kids there. Strange grown men should not be taking pics of preschoolers.
Don’t mess w/ an angry mother lol

  • Jaden is the Star! May 16, 2012 at 9:44 am

Halle is right, why go to the congressman when she personally knows the president. And this applies to Obama too BC he has kids that paps might follow one day. I think the law is important and should be put into place for celebrity children. If they are the smith kids and want the attention, then let it be but most celeb kids want privacy.

    • universitychick May 16, 2012 at 10:28 am

When’s the last time you seen the Bush girls photographed? Paps hardly follow president kids.

  • Barbara May 16, 2012 at 9:37 am

Unfortunately, children of celebrities have to pay the price for the fame of the parents. Children should not be hounded and photograped by the paparazzi and their schools should definitely be off limits to the rabid cameramen who stake out such places. Good luck Halle but I don’t think complaining to the POTUS will do any good when the late Princess Di couldn’t stop the paps from clicking her at every opportunity.

  • universitychick May 16, 2012 at 9:36 am

    *sigh*

    • Monique May 17, 2012 at 6:16 pm

      Exactly. *sigh*

I’ve read countless interviews of very well-known celebrities (Denzel, Meryl Streep, Julia Roberts, etc) who have said that if you start when they’re babies and not make your pregnancy a big deal and not sell their 1st photos the paps generally leave you alone. Julia Roberts even decided not to stay in LA or NY to have more peace. No paps are flying out the way to get one pic of you bringing your kid to school. Halle has enough money to take time off and settle somewhere if she was really scared.

  • Jessica May 16, 2012 at 9:36 am

Is she for real? Talk to your congressman or write a letter to your Governor before you talk to the President. President Obama has a lot more important issues then pap laws.
