Singer Beyonce and her husband Jay-Z stepped out with their five-month-old daughter Blue Ivy in Paris, France on June 4, 2012. Jay-Z held his daughter tightly in his arms, who was covered up with a blanket.
In a recent interview with Billboard, Jay Z revealed that he plans to take a break from his music career to focus on fatherhood.
“I thought I would be more inspired to have all these new feelings to talk about, but I really just want to hang out with my daughter. I want to enjoy this time for what it is. I’m sure that bug to get back in the studio will come back at some point.”

I’m sick of them hiding this baby face too. Trust me on this, if Brad Pitt and Angelina kids are ok, u betta bet Bey’s and Jay Z’s isn’t special. Like Chris said, MJ kid faces are everywhere now and nobody gives a rat’s arze. I have neva cared that much for neither one of them, but I want take anything from Blue. She is a little doll baby with all that hair. Seriously Jay and Bey, get a grip, u will neva outshine white actors/actresses/singes in hollyweird. They will always be chased down by paparrazi, just look at every magazine.
Wow! I see they are pulling an Alicia Keys.We did not see any pics until the baby was about 8 months.I have no idea how they kept that baby and pics of the baby under wraps for that long.Its nice to see Jay-z holding the baby or whatever is under those blankets now.I thought it was so wierd how Bey is the only one who’s been seen holing the baby since it was born.I don’t get why she wants to hide that baby so much unless it looks like Jay-z now.I hope she knows that she can’t hide the baby forever.What’s done is done.I say just let the baby breath.I know its not that cold everyday.

I’d love to see Blue Ivy’s sweet face but we have to honor her parents’ wishes. I’m curious, not because of whom her parents are, I simply love babies. I personally believe that the more they continue to hide Blue, the more apprehensive the paparazzi will become. JMO

Everytime their carrying around this doll, I mean baby, around it seems to be fast asleep. It’s funny how it never moves or wrestles to get the blanket their covering it up with, off.
How can you see movement in a picture? Is there an app for that? LOL you sound ridiculous. She looks to be in the same position b/c paps camera’s can snap 5 pics in a second. Not much movement can take place. Plus your looking at the same picture in two different angles zoomed in & out
I know they’re photos, but a website showed a string of photos of Beyonce carrying the baby through one day and the baby’s hands and feet were in the same position the entire outing. It’s always the same scenario. They’re smothering the kid with this blanket, when infant children generally have a hard time breathing to begin with. They seem to be so concerned about the kids privacy that its health comes secondary. Sorry, I just don’t believe their carrying a real child around. Let’s see how they’ll keep this up in a few months.
Although I don’t think it’s a doll, I was also thinking how convenient it is that the baby is always asleep when they are out in public. At this age babies generally don’t like having their faces covered up and will struggle when it is. Just odd.
It will be okay. Look how well I’m turning out with my veil lifted. Like my Dad used to say Blue Ivy, “It’s okay, they are just ignorant”. Blankets and covers are good for babies.
It’s just funny to see how different celebrities act when it comes to their babies. Roc & Roe have been in the spotlight since day one. Even Jessica Simpson showed her baby off already. What’s the big secret?

Why wouldnt they hide the baby? I wouldn’t want some strange men taking my baby’s picture and getting paid for it!
I totally understand Jay-Z & Beyonce’s reasons for protecting their child; however when they entered into the world of fame…their privacy, including all connected to them became non-existent. At some point this baby will become an adult and the world will see Blue Ivy, regardless of their attempts to “hide” or shelter her from the public. The only true way to maintain a level of privacy, at least in the industry that they’re both in, would’ve been to never reveal her pregnancy…it’s called out of sight out of mind.
Keyword, when she’s an ADULT she will be seen as an adult. Bey & Jay have the right to protect their child for the next 18 years from the psychos of the world. I don’t get the big deal. How would she have hid her pregnancy? Hide in a cabin for the next 18 years & deny they have a child? Beyonce is famous, jay Z is famous. Blue isn’t. I would understand if they were always posting pics of her then all of a sudden stopped & started covering her. But They posted 3 pics of her to hold the world over & that was it. They have the right to decide when to show their baby.

Usually I am one of the ones who complain about why Beyonce & Jay Z are being pictured when Blue isn’t. It’s BCK & I come to see the precious children faces & smiles. I didn’t complain today as someone already beat me to it. I liked seeing how she grew since April though.
I don’t complain or care really, but why and how exactly can you love a baby you don’t know and have never seen? I would love for someone to explain that to me, but other than that, if people wanna fawn over some child’s feet like they’ve no common sense, then they can go right on ahead.

Yayyyyy! I love Jay Z, love seeing him holding his JR. It would have been nice to see her wittle face, but i understand for covering her up….She looks tall! WTT 2 has no official release date & probably won’t be put out for like a year or two b/c i’m sure Kanye is gonna wanna do a solo album after WTT tour ends. & Jay already has been taking time off. WTT came out like a year ago, the tour is just now kicking off over seas. He put the tour off for awhile to be w/ Blue. He has to finish the tour, but its good he as Bey & Blue there w/ him
I’m going to be a smart arse. Blue is only 5mnths old. Personally, 5mnths is not enough time spent with a newborn, especially when you are a celebrity & have the time & money to spend at least the first year with your child.
I agree, i don’t think 5 months is enough time. But Jay has obligations. He put those obligations off long enough. WTT album was already in affect when Beyonce got pregnant. Maybe things should have been planned better so they both wouldn’t be touring/doing shows w/ a 5 month old. But it looks like they have planned it well enough that Jay & Bey don’t plan things at the same time where they can all be together while 1 is working. But Jay couldn’t put the WTT off anymore, its not a solo tour it w/ kanye so the tour must go on
My thing is they both need to stop saying they are taking time off when they currently have obligations like you said. How about saying, I’m booked for the next 6mnths but as soon as I’m done, I’m spending the next 2yrs off to concentrate on my child. *shrug*

@UC I agree. The hoopla over them has died down a lot from what it was in the beginning. Not to say that the trolls aren’t around but you know how they seem to bum rush other sites that they never visit, they don’t seem to do that anymore, they’ve seemed to have gone back to the places they normally congregate. I was so happy when they stopped coming to BCK, just sad that the site would have over a hundred comments from people that never normally visited the site any other time, who just wanted to say that the kids were white and weren’t his. What does the hoopla now being over have to do with there once being hoopla that may have damaged the children and have been in their best interest not to experience?!?! I think that as celeb parents, they have to make the best decisions to protect their child and covering her may be in her best interest, as MJ felt it was (and was probably right) in the best interest for his kids. IDK why Halle wants to do it, but Gabe can move to France. Not saying it’s fair he has to uproot his life, however, he’s not doing much career wise anyhow. Also, he can get the judge to give him visitations with longer time frames so Halle can go crazy while Nahla is gone

I believe Gabe runs a restaraunt, or has some type of work going on. I know he makes a lot less than Halle and France is expensive. He may not be able to simply relocate to France. Neither should he have to, unless Halle is going to help him survive in France. Plus, Halle will fight like hell to stop Gabe from having his daughter for long periods of time – she’s doing that now. My beef with Halle moving to France is only because I feel Nahla’s relationship with her father is important. Completely different from this convo.
