LE’ANDRIA JOHNSON PREGNANT WITH BABY #4
Le’Andria Johnson, Season 3 winner of ‘Sunday’s Best’ and GRAMMY Award recipient, is pregnant with her fourth child. She recently released a press statement that read:
“In recent weeks, there have been numerous published reports stating that I am pregnant. I would like to take this time to confirm that I am pregnant and due in September. I have been feeling well and maintaining a healthy appetite. I have been busy traveling around the country with my music ministry. One can only imagine that as a mother and mother-to-be, my plate is quite full—taking the kids to school, doing homework, cooking—regular mother duties. I have been blessed to have the love and support of my church, family, friends, label, management, and fans. I have received so many beautiful and thoughtful notes and prayers from people all over the country. I ask that you continue to pray for me and my family. I cannot do this alone. I will continue to pray for God’s guidance and protection over my life. I love you all very much and I will be in touch soon.”
Le’Andria reminisced about her time on ‘Sunday’s Best’ in a recent sit-down talk with Precious Times. “On the ride there, I thought about my kids and hoped that I had made the right decision,” Johnson said. “I tried out for American Idol the year before. That was going through my mind. Honestly, if I had won American Idol, I probably wouldn’t be singing Gospel right now. While I stood in the Superdome, I kept thinking about being a single mother who’s not perfect, has no job, a good heart, and a gift to sing from God. I said, ‘God if there is anything that you can look back on my life and say it was good, I need that right now. I need that mercy; I need that grace right now to bless me.’ Then I saw God unfold.”

Please leave this young women along because all us done may this same mistake in our life so don’t judgement her on her mistake because god has for give her right now he new her for you did so stop comentemt on that i still love leandria johnson no matter what she did. why you all talking about her we need to stay by her side in blessing her to grow with her for kids right now. why she is doing god work trying to help his people save their soul. because some time people need some one like her to list to at all time make them feeling real good a song of praying will help them when they are down
Based off of her own words… Le’Andria stated that she tried out for American Idol but didn’t make it because if she had, she probably wouldn’t be singing gospel music. I can understand and respect that because I was the same way… You all have to remember that when she tried out for Sunday Best, she was HOMELESS and had children to support. I am not not judging nor am I defending her, but maybe since Idol didn’t work out, she found Sunday Best as a means to an end? Maybe she wanted to be a singer so badly (no matter what genre she was singing) so just to get her foot in the door of the music industry, she did what she had to do to make it so that she could later cross over and sing her own style of music. Case in point: Michelle Williams of Destiny’s Child started off singing secular music. When she made it big, she crossed over to gospel and then back to R&B, so needless to say, I believe that this is what Le’Andria is doing now.
As for the who unwed mother issue, I have to agree that is does look bad as a gospel artist to have children out of wedlock, at the same, like many have said, we Christians ALL fall short of God’s glory… At least she was woman enough to stand up to her responsibilies and keep her baby instead of have an abortion like many singers do to keep their career going strong… I’m just saying.
Congrats on the baby, Le’Andria!
Who am I to judge? All I know is…Our Heavenly Creator works through all of us if we give Him the chance!!
First, let me say that I love LeAndria and I think she is a phenomenal talent and I enjoyed watching her win Sunday Best in Season Three. I do not think that anyone should pass judgement on her as we have all sinned and fallen short. I do believe, however that perhaps she should not be showcased (in person) in various gospel events until after the birth of her child. My father was a pastor and through the years, there were young girls who became unwed mothers in our church. The church did not shun them or belittle them, but they had to relinquish their various church duties (i.e. choir, announcements, etc.) until after the baby was born. It was more for appearances and some of the young ladies were upset, but my dad would explain to them that he hoped they would not see it as a punishment, but a chance for pray and focus on their health and the baby’s health until they gave birth. Also, he did not want it to seem as though he condoned their actions, but at the same time be sure that the church embraced and supported them in their time of need. It may seem old-fashioned, but I think it’s a little hypocritical to place yourself in front of people to deliver God’s message when it is very obvious that you have not been practicing what you preach.
We all fall short and sin so lets not throw stones now!
This is really a delicate situation. Many feel disappointed ok cool but she is not God. We have NO right to discuss her business…judge not LEST YE FALL! This is the part about christendom that keeps people out. No matter what she has done it is between her and the Lord. The last thing a person needs after they messed up is the very people that she ministered to dogging her instead of lifting her up in prayer. She already publically apologized and is STILL ministering through all the stones people are throwing at her. I cant imagine how hard it is to walk thru this but Lord I thank u for my sister Leandria and I ask you to guard her heart and mind and make her feet like hinds feet. Create in her a clean heart oh God, renew in her a right spirit. Thank u that the gifts and callings of God are irrevocable. Strengthen her connection with U thru this in Jesus Name amen.
I thank God everyday that he is NOT like us. I do not judge anyone because the same person you talk about could easily be you but because God’s grace and mercy is sufficient for everybody and no matter what we do right or wrong HE is still in control you are where you are. I am so thankful for His grace and mercy because I as well as ALL of us are all born sinners and when He died on the cross He died for ALL sins..even the ones committed on this page lol!..I am not saying what she did is right and even in all our wrongness God still forgives us all…we need to learn how to forgive and correct our brothers and sisters in love…
Look people, now we all know that WE as Christians or church-goers per say fall short of the Glory. Not one of us are perfect, but we try to press toward the Mark over and over. We are NOT to give up and keep on pressing just like Leandria. We will make mistakes, but we learn by them; we may make them again, but we try again with HOPE in our hearts that we will succeed this time. Sooner or later we will get it right and we will give God the Glory and the Praise for helping us through all the wrong turns we took to get there. Keep on trucking Leandria, we sure NEED and WANT you to come and share your anointing and your beautiful voice with us at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Stockton, CA with Dr. Samuel Smith as our Pastor. Stay blessed as I know you are…
Why do people always try to cover up their sin by pulling out the famous scriptures, “He who is without sin”,”Judge ye not,” etc…etc… First of all, Leandria has already asked her fans to forgive her when she told the church to post the video on Youtube. Apparently, she was caught up in mess then in 2010 or 2011. Needless to say, here we go again. Regardless of what anyone who supports says, this is wrong and she should not be ministering to anybody at this point. I was at one of her events and yes, she brought the house down with her singing. She then started ministering and was even more anointed. But there has to be a differeence in her and the world. you can’t call yourself a Christian and then drink occasionally followed by laying up with a man when you know you are not married. She made a statement not long ago about making her so called first child out of wedlock a big deal. Yes Leandria, it is a big deal because of the message you are sending in comparison to the ministering. If you love God then serve God. If you love the devil, then serve the devil. You can’t serve them both. Bottom line, God is going to hold you responsible for every soul that you have led astray.
So I’m guessing you live a life free of sin? She’s not your minister, she’s a singer/entertainer and human who obviously has faults. If you’re looking for someone to minister to you and guide you on your Christian path, maybe you should look to your pastor. Then again, you don’t know what pastor does behind closed doors either.
@plainmean, she’s a minister as we all are suppose to be: With the way we walk on a daily bases- we are walking bibles to those who don’t know God even to those who are saved. When we confess to be Christians we are professing to be Christ-like. Teaching Gods word propelling those to cone to him. That’s why it is so imperative for us to be rooted in the word of God. Allowing yourself to be placed in a compromising position is allowing the Good you do to be questioned… Like it or not that’s what that is…god is a forgiving God, but he can turn us over to a reporbated mind- thinking what we are doing wrong is right….if you want to change and God is real in your life those same mistakes won’t continue. Stop making excuses and just start walking in the way God has require us to. We are ministers of God if you life is nor lined up than sit down and seek God!!! No one has to tell me when I’m wrong….I don’t do pity parties just get my act together: people are watching, but the Angels are looking and booking!!!!
She is a singer/entertainer and being a gospel singer does not mean that one is a christian. Wesimply make this asumption.
@Khai, Alyssa and Fakinit2makeit, you guys are right on point. Yes we are human and subject to sin but Im so tired of us using that as an accuse for sin. When you put yourself out there to minister for God, and yes singing Gospel is a form of ministering, you have to do more than sing His words, you have to live it. Now if she has ask for forgiveness and made it known that what she has done is wrong in the eyes of the Lord, then that was the right thing to do, because there are other young ladies out there who are watching her. As we know kids learn by what they see you do and not so much by what you say. I pray God continues to bless her ministry, her and her family because God knows it’s a war out there are we need all the God loving christians out there fighting.
My point exactly….its not about judging. You can eyeline, lipstick it all you want when we sin it’s just that sin. Lying, stealing, cheating, having a bad attitude(ugly disposition) etc it’s still sin. We look at fornication as the ultimate, buts it in the same category as the other. We must understand when we say we are Christians we represent God and the name his son bears….Our parents would nit want they’re children to go out and misreprsent thefamily, so we shouldn’t put shame on God. We have to be more responsible in our descion making. I’m learning to consult God with everything-sometimes we bring things on ourselves and we make life hard…..the bible says he’s a wonderful counselor!!!!!
Congrats!
Why are we discussing her personal life? Just because she is a gospel artist, what she does behind closed doors is her business. Some folks are so quick to rush into marriages, that’s why there are so many divorces.
Maybe she doesn’t want to get married? Whatever the case, that’s her business and she doesn’t owe any of us any explanation.
then she should not be ministering. Don’t preach the bible to me if you are not living is yourself
Show me where your life isn’t perfect so I can blast you for being human! Is being judgmental apart of being a Christian? I hope not because I’m obviously practicing the wrong religion.
I agree with you 100% because if you are singing God’s word and yet sleeping with a man and is not married and pregnant on top of that and you are tryong to minister to people what does that sound like. To me you are not living the life you should and she should be sitting down until she can get it together and be at home with her other three kids. I feel that Pop McClendon should have won instead. She is making Sunday Best look bad.
I’m sorry Trisha but I have to disagree! Le’Andria is human and no matter what people keep saying no one is perfect but God himself! Just people up here typing about her is against what God stand for ur judging isn’t that a sin! We don’t know what she’s going through she probably wanted to abort this baby but hell that’s a sin!
@AMO I’m dying laughing at u u’ve made my night ur toooo funny! My 3 year old neice acts just like u so cute boo boo LMMFAO! Goodnite!
Miss Le’andria Johnson should not stop the calling on her life to minister to the people no more than king David did who was a public figure after killing a man for his wife. No one has the right to tell this women she should stop ministering only you should stop listening if you have a problem. Paul committed many wrongs after being called by God did he give up no and look how God blessed him.Le’Andria KEEP DOING WHAT GOD HAS CALLED YOU TO DO. I LOVE THE GOD IN YOU THAT GIVE ME HOPE THAT I’VE NEVER EXPERIENCED BEFORE IN MY LIFE. People did not call you to minister God did. He already know your faults and what is going to go down in your life even before you do. This lady as long as she don’t give up and keep calling on God to delivery her and heal her is going to help a lot of people.
Miss Le’andria Ignore these people who are condemning you and your supporters, pray for them as I will also. They are just as sinful as they say you are, and in as much need of prayer as you’ve asked for. No it don’t look good to Christian’s, but you have asked for forgiveness and prayer. Man look at the outer but God looks at the heart. What’s done is done it cannot be undone. Move forward and continue helping the masses as you’ve been called to do.
thank you for saying Gdos mind.
I’m probably going to get lots of flames thrown at me but I’m going to say what’s on my mind about this.
Firstly, those who are active Christians know that we have ALL sinned an fallen short and none of us are faultless. He/ she without sin cast the first stone.
That being said, it seems strange and a little “in your face” to be out there ministering to people about God and yet seems to be involved in a sexual relationship that has produced a blessing i.e. a child. It is my belief that God doesn’t care what “side of the blanket” you’re born on as He saw each and every one of us from the beginning and no child is a mistake. However, he has set out guidelines about marriage and sexual relationships and if this talented lady is not married then she’s sending the wrong message to Christians everywhere that it’s okay to sing the song, talk the talk but not necessarily walk the walk. I can see how (again, if she’s not married) this can send a conflicting message to young Christians struggling with the intimate side of their relationships. It seems to me nowadays that it’s okay to compromise on everything and justify the sin away (whatever the sin is) and bash those who say “well the bible says not to do x or y” as bible thumping dogmatic judgmental horrible persons (there are alot of those out there mind you, and television sure makes it seem as anyone who believes in God is a fanatical crazy illogical frigid crazy people).
Either way, however people choose to live their lives, it’s their business. I guess it gets sticky when you put yourself out there as one thing and do another. I wish her a happy and healthy baby!
Ain’t nobody mad but the devil and I mean that, I posted before about putting ourselves in compromising position(I have and it doesn’t feel good knowing that you are misleading people with talking a good game and your life is just the opposite. We can’t keep doing this stuff…..we wonder why people are not truly being saved and delivered….The devil is doing his job b/c we interview then hire him. Can we blame all on him? Fire his Tail!!!
The bottom line Le’andria’s lifestyle is not the reason why people are not being saved and delivered. Its falls back on those individuals who are not saved an delivered. Even Paul said when I want to do good evil is always present. God is still using her in a mighty way just like he did David after he murdered another man to get his wife. Sin is Sin no matter what.
alyssa i agree totally. and it does not apply to only those in high places of christianity. all of us who call on the name of the Lord must leive examplary lives.
I bet if she could be married, she would. What happens to many of us black women who age and can’t find a suitable mate. Not saying that is a total excuse but statistically speaking, there will be some of us who don’t luck out. Just saying.
So the mate isn’t suitable to marry but suitable to pop out children for?
Agree!
If he’s not a suitable mate why get pregnant by him?
Why, why, why… Why does anyone have babies out of wedlock? Why do you think you’ve found a suitable mate and he turns out not to be who you thought he was? Why do a lot of marriages end? Things happen!!! This woman is a gospel singer. Gospel singers are not prophets; they’re not priests; they’re not teachers; and they’re not saints. She’s a singer – an entertainer. I don’t see a reason to throw stones at her, or Lauryn Hill as mentioned above. If everyone focused more on living their OWN lives based on Christian standards, and stop going “shame, shame” at other people, then we’d all be good.
I’m not judging Miss Leandria Johnson because even though I”m a believer I have a long way to go in faith. Just because she is called by God does not mean she will not fall and fall its all in the growing and healing process. I know a lot of kids who grew up in church who got pregnant no husband and boys are in and out of trouble. She has been married twice it seems this is the only child out of wedlock. She has admitted her mistake and asked for prayer. That is our only responsibility is to pray for her. God does not judge her nor does he love her any less. All the great men of the same bible that you self righteous people are using to judge and condemn her are great men of God also who did wrong things after being called by God but they hung in there till they got it right. I love the God in her I don’t care who don’t like it.
LOL..WHOW IS THIS WOMAN???? I NEVER HEARD OF HER NOR HER MUSIC. CONGRATS ON THE PREGNANCY..AND YES, I TOO AGREE THAT IF YOU CLAIM TO BE CHRISTIAN THEN YOU SHOULD FOLLOW THE BIBLE. HOW CAN YOU PREACH TO OTHERS IF YOURSELF ISNT FOLLOWING THE BIBLE…GOD WANT US TO NOT ONLY BELIEVE IN THE BIBLE BUT FOLLOW IT.
I love her voice! I feel every word when she sings. Congrats to her on her 4th child!!
People blast Lauryn Hill for having 5 kids by the same man & not being married, why does she get a pass? Apply it all across the board.
IDK whom she is, but she may want to try being celibate.
We need to stop using “being human” as an excuse to sin. Not calling myself perfect. I include myself in that statement.
Thank you, lol I was just thinking the same thing. NONE of us are sinless, but when you keep calling on the name of Christ like you know him, then I think you also have a responsibility to walk on that righteous path to glory. And when you stumble, you gotta admit and ask for forgiveness.
Maybe she’s done all of that in her private life, but I don’t think it’s untoward for other Christians to point out that premarital sex is against God’s word. On the other hand, we gotta stop looking to people who sing gospel as “Christians”. Just because someone says the name of God or has a career singing about him, doesn’t mean they know him. And as people, we shouldn’t be looking to take our cues from anyone except Him anyway. God bless this young woman, I hope she truly rests in the Lord.
He who is without sin throw the first stone. Sin is sin says the bible. Judging her is a sin. Her having babies without husband is between her and God only. God still loves her just the same as those who are judging. So does he love children the same.

Man listen she’s still human and has faults! My thing was I thought she was to old to have a baby! She’s bad though
Lmbo!
It does not seem like he is trying to marry her,and i think she had a bad choice of judgement in the man she choose.
I think some Christians (not all) are uneasy about her being pregnant because she is a gospel artist. She’s out in the forefront ministering God’s word yet having a kid out of wedlock. I can think of gospel artists who have had kids out of wedlock before they made it but not during. I’m personally not throwing any stones because my hands aren’t squeaky clean. Congrats to Ms. Johnson and I hope she delivers a happy, healthy baby.
That’s exactly what it is. When one is speaking and singing before millions in a Godly fashion, you have to uphold that position. God has called that individual to do just that and when feels tempted, then one should seek God, get on his or her bended knees and talk/pray (out loud if you have too) for God to hold him or her from lustation, temptation, or whatever that weakness may be. I’m praying for her deliverance. She is truly annointed.
This woman can saaaaaaang! I hate how some high and mighty “Christians” are blasting her like they all are virgins or waited until marriage. She’s human and Christian doesn’t mean perfect.
I agree christians are still human which means we all fall short in some way or another.
Also, you can have sex but one does not have to have children out of it. Birth control methods still work.
you see, lele you just endorsed fornication, which the bible says specifically, FLEE! it does not matter your age or status, FLEE! Lets not try to gloss over sin, it cant control us.
Amen to that!
Is she married? If not is she the only gospel singer who is unwed and pregnant?
I was thinking the same thing, because she thanked everyone accept a husband. I mean not everyone is married, but her being a gospel artist. She is exspected to be married. Congrats to her.
Well I mean everyone can’t be like Mary Mary and be married with kids. It is what it is.
I agree with all of you, maybe they were married and are seperated or going through a divorce we never know. They’re regular people too.
In a industry where your looked at to be perfect I know it has to be hard for her as a single mother, no she doesn’t have a husband and yes she isn’t engaged from what I know but at the same time she’s human and makes mistakes just like everyone else. So with that being said, congrats to her!
Ok, I totally agree with you. When we find ourselves in compromising positions than we love to play the woe its me mentality and think that everyone is judging us…..No baby it’s not judgin you it’s called ACCOUNTABILITY. Don’t put yourself in a situation where your good is evil spoken of, it’s not rocket science it’s just that simple. We love to sugar coat Sin and throw things under the carpet and let me not forget, research the scriptures to fIt our right now situation. It amazes me that we use the sayings “being human” , “God knows my heart” and I’m not perfect. God knows all of that, but that doesn’t give us the licesne to practice sin- yes we all fall short of the mark, but we should not keep getting ourselves in the same mess. Cmon now there is a difference between church folk and Christians and religion and christianity right? God is getting tired of us making a mockery of him!!! Let’s get it together stop playing church and get to know him. Ive messed up too…will mess up again, but HELL is real…..I don’t need you justifying my sin….I will hold myself accountable and so should you!!! Be blessed. Hmmm had to get that off my chest-:)
In response to Nene: I applaud for speaking what you’ve said on here. It’s time out for playing with God or church playing. The truth is we love her but the same mishaps/mistakes or action of this sin should not keep happening. Let’s be real folks!!! There are way too many ways to protect one’s self from getting pregnant.
I believe God has a calling for her in this gospel ministry but there is some cleaning up he has to do in her; just like in all of us I’m pretty sure. Be Blessed.
i HAVE A PROBLEM WITH HER SHE IS CONSTANTLY HAVING CHILDREN OUT OF WEDLOCK AND ALSO WHAT IS THIS SAYING TO OUR YOUNG WOMEN? COME ON NOT TRYING TO BE MEAN BUT THIS CHICK AIN’T HARDLY SAVED AND WE ALL KNOW THIS NOT JUST WITH THE BABY ON BOARD BUT HER PARTYING LIKE SHE IS THE DEVIL’S GIRLFRIEND.
HEY SHE HAS FALLEN SHORT 4 TIMES NOW COME ON I KNOW I WILL NOT BUY ANY OF HER CD’ BECAUSE HER LIFESTYLE IS NOT LINING UP WITH HER SINGING.
