KATIE PRICE INSPIRED BY SON TO OPEN SPECIAL NEEDS SCHOOL
Katie Price has modeling, authorship, television personality, and professional businesswoman under her belt. In addition to all of these attributes, Price hopes to add another endeavor to her list of accomplishments: school founder.
“Not in my wildest dreams did I ever expect to be starting a school,” said Price in a recent interview with the Guardian. “We’re planning to open in September 2013, on a site in Sevenoaks in Kent. It’s going to be called the Visually Impaired Special Needs academy – it will have places for at least 20 children initially, but we hope to go up to 90 in time. And once we’ve got it off the ground, we hope to open more schools just like it.”
Katie has first-hand experience with special needs children as her 10-year-old son Harvey has several disabilities. In addition to having Autism and Prader-William Syndrome, Harvey battles with visual impairment resultant from Septo-Optic Dysplasia development. “The thing for Harvey, and others like him, is that everything has to be the same. He needs stability and continuity – if things around him are different, he finds it really difficult to cope. I honestly believe that he’ll start to go downhill without a school to go to. So like every other parent involved, I’m going to do whatever I can to make it happen. There will be a point when I’ll promote it,” said Price.
If successful, Katie’s chain of special needs schools will be the first of its kind to offer free education to disabled children. Price has three children in all.

Awesome!
School for disabled children where they can go for free. Praise God!! I wish her luck & will pray for her & that this school is a success.
It’s a wonderful thing she’s doing. Disabled children have a way of motivating us parents in a way we wouldn’t normally be.

Poor baby. Even though he has many disabilities he is certainly blessed to have a mother who is willing to put in the time … you don’t always find that with disabled children.
God bless her for doing something amazing for babies with special needs!
I hope this works for them! I really love her period since the show but this really is amazing for her to do this.
Amazing and I will pray that this is great for her and Harvey
sounds wonderful!
