THE BIG KIDS’ FILE: AANISAH GRADUATES AND ENDEAVORS TO RAISE MONEY FOR COLLEGE
Aanisah Hinds, daughter of R&B singer Macy Gray, has graduated from high school and is going to college in New York to enhance her artistry.
Hinds has painted several portraits during her high school career, and is hoping to cash in on her gift to help with moving expenses. As she explains, “I graduated from Beverly Hills High School, and upon acceptance to many choice schools, I have decided to attend Pratt Institute where I will continue to pursue my artistic career. I am selling my prints to raise money for my move to New York and my tuition at Pratt.”
Individuals looking to donate or purchase artwork by Aanisah should visit her website for more details. Aanisah is the eldest of Macy Gray’s three children.

Why isn’t Macy paying? She’s had YEARS to save for her education. Even I’m saving up for my children’s College/University tuition and they’re only 5 and 2(Thursday
)…ODD!!!
College is expensive and living in New York is insanely expensive! Pratt is not cheap nor is the neighborhood its in! Macy may be helping to pay but she may not be able to afford the whole thing.
Don’t judge Macy Gray. You dont know her circumstances or her cost of living. Just because she sang some songs doesnt mean she’s that rich. The music industry takes advantage of people…chews them up and spits them out. We dont know how good her contract was. She may be broke. People like TLC and Toni Braxton went broke, and they were bigger than Macy Gray ever got.
God bless her. Its nice that her daughter is so talented, and independent enough to try and help pay her way.
good for her! by all accounts you would think that she had her way fully paid, but this shows that she is serious about hers. good luck to her. from the samples online she is really talented.
She’s really good!!

Good for her! She has a good head on her shoulders.
Congrats Aanisha! Good luck at college. Nice that she’s selling her arts to help pay for college. Wish I could help her in buying her arts but I’m still saying up for my son’s college education.
