ALEXIS WELCH TALKS FAMILY, ENGAGEMENT, AND MORE
Alexis Welch and New York Knicks player Amar’e Stoudemire are engaged to be married sometime next year. The couple will tie the knot after ten years of courtship and welcoming three beautiful children into the world.
“It’s been a whirlwind. I’m so overjoyed. Everyone is calling, wanting to know all of the details. I’m marrying my best friend,” Alexis says of her marriage proposal.
Much like their father, Ar’e,6, Assata,4, and Amar’e Jr.,5, are athletic. “Our oldest daughter dances competitively and cheers for our son’s football team. Our son plays football and basketball. Our youngest is still figuring out her sports,” says Welch.
Although marrying a famous ballplayer worth $100 million has the potential to change many things, Alexis still plans to spend quality time with her children. “They are young, so they still enjoy being with us. So I’m going to enjoy every minute. I’ll take my time and only do things that make sense for our family.”
During her spare time, Alexis will work with the Amar’e Stoudemire Foundation, designed to empower and equip at-risk youth.

She had three kids consecutively for him, marrying her is the very least he can do! Know a woman’s worth!
I’m happy for her, but I wonder if she would have waited all those years for a man if he wasn’t a NBA Baller. Just saying. It could have went the other way and he could have left her for someone else after three kids.
He was right to leave Ciara for the mother of his kids !

Savannah’s been with Lebron for 11 years he just asked her to marry him snd they have 2 kids! I guess it’s a trend in the NBA!

I’m happy for her! Good for Amar’e, wifing up the woman that has been with him for years. A lot of NBA players don’t do that.
