TOMLINSON RETIRES FROM NFL WITH FAMILY BY HIS SIDE
LaDainian Tomlinson,33, was surrounded by family on Monday, June 18, 2012 as he retired from football. Tomlinson’s wife, LaTorsha, along with his children, Dayah, 9 months, and Daylen, 2 next month, watched as he signed a one day contract with the San Diego ‘Chargers’ and announced his retirement thereafter.

“I feel like I’m graduating. I really do, because I’ve got my life ahead of me, I’m healthy, I’m happy with a great family and I’m excited to now be a fan and watch you guys play,” Tomilson said. “[I didn't decide to retire] because I didn’t want to play anymore. It was simply time to move on.”
LaDainian hangs up his jersey after 11 years of playing professional football. The former NFL player stayed true to his promise of retiring as a Charger.

Retiring at 33! Nice. I think it’s great that he’s retiring young and healthy. His kidsstill wry young and he’ll be able to dedicate himself to his family.
