HALLE ORDERED TO PAY CHILD SUPPORT
A judge has ordered actress Halle Berry to pay nearly a quarter of a million dollars a year in child support.
TMZ reports, “Lawyers for Halle and Gabriel were in court Monday, and sources connected with Gabriel tell TMZ….the family law judge ordered Halle to pay Nahla’s daddy $20,000 a month. Although Nahla is 4, until Monday there was never a child support order issued by a judge, but now one is in place.”
Berry and Aubry will soon fight it out in court over whether Halle and Nahla can move to Paris.

Halle Berry may have to pay more child support than any other woman on the entire face of the earth! It is rare for a woman to be forced to pay child support.
This is sad and she should not be allowed to pay him anything. They both wanted this baby and now because he wants to be spiteful he request money? He needs to get a job and earn his own keep and take care of his daughter. It’s funny how we get mad with our own, but folks were mad when Eric wanted alimony and was dogged by us, but its ok for her to pay Gabriel. Oh my bad he is the white guy and Eric is black so he is a bum for requesting alimony??? SMH
Another thing that bothers me is that Gabriel has significant earning potential. He is much younger than Halle, models and owns a restaurant. Why is it that someone with significant earning potential be awarded child support?
@Shawon That is exactly what I thought. He is not the primary caregiver so why is he receiving child support. Also, this is not a male v. female thing. I have no respect for anybody who uses children as a meal ticket.
Also, a lot of these other celebrities lead frivolous lives that result in unwanted pregnancies and still continue to conceive more unwanted children. Halle desperately wanted to become a mother and does not lead a frivolous life.
It is sad that a judge would do this to a parent who is the primary caretaker and who has a very active and involved role in her child’s life.

He has joint legal and physical custody of the child which means the higher earning parent may be ordered to pay support to the other. She should have kept her opinions about who he hangs out w/ and their informal custody arrangement would still be ok w/ him. She went on the attack in late 2010. She told Oprah in 2004 that she’ll have a baby w/ whomever she is w/ at the time (after turning 40) and has no problem w/ him terminating his parental rights. That statement was foresight of her true intentions. She’s a control freak.
@LifeinLA who said Eric got millions? Media reports said he received no alimony. He likely got money from joint assets like their house. She settled w/ David Justice in 1997 after dragging out the divorce for over a yr trying to settle for a bigger pay day. U play w/ fire u get burned!!

Folks go back and listen to the interview of Halle when she was pregnant. This is what she wanted, she made comments like this is who I am, he’s a great dad and he probably is but Ms. Berry should have just gone to a sperm bank and she could have taken her child anywhere she wanted. She also said she would never get married again remember?? She just wants to take that child and run with her… That’s my opinion
I agree JBL. The sperm bank would have been cheater in the long run and then she could take her child whereever she wanted to go.
