YARA AND SAYEED ATTEND LAUNCH EVENT
Siblings Yara,12, and Sayeed Shahidi, 9, recently attended Byron Allen’s Emmy Nomination and Fall 2012 Launch Event at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills, California on June 19th.
The dynamic duo were at the event to celebrate their new show, “The First Family.” The new sitcom is about a fictional African-American family living in the White House. “There’s a huge shortfall of quality family sitcoms, and we are 110 percent committed to filling that enormous void,” said Byron Allen, CEO of Entertainment Studios, producer and event host.
While on the red carpet, Yara and Sayeed took a pause to talk to Mingle Media TV about the upcoming show and their brotherly/sisterly love for each other.

I believe that’ll be my kids in 10 years…looks-wise, anyway. Yara and Sayeed are 1/2 Iranian. Mine are 1/4 Iranian but look more Iranian than black. All three Shahidi’s are beautiful children. I love the natural hair… don’t let Hollywood change your image, Yara! Although I haven’t seen her movies, I enjoyed her McDonald’s commercials with her real-life mother.
