Disney Friends for Change announced that Zendaya Coleman, along with several other Disney stars, will serve as Friends for Change Ambassadors, helping kids make changes that will positively affect other people, local communities and the entire planet.

The fifteen year old “Shake It Up” star and her costar Bella Thorne will lead the charge to encourage kids everywhere to volunteer to become leaders. The duo will work with Free The Children from August 17th-Septmenber 27th. A Disney Friends for Change grant will be donated to the collaborative efforts.

Leslie Goodman, senior vice president for Corporate Citizenship and Philanthropy at The Walt Disney Company said. “Through the leadership and encouragement of our Disney Friends for Change Ambassadors, we hope to inspire millions of more kids to take action and change their worlds.”

Zendaya and the entire group of ambassadors are working hard to be more than just characters on a TV show. They truly want to help their communities and lead the effort in making a positive change.
