JILLIAN MICHAELS AND KIDS ATTEND LG ELECTRONICS LAUNCHING

Jillian Michaels, Heidi Rhoades, and children Lukensia,2, and Phoenix,2 months, attended ’20 Magic Minutes: A Family Celebration’ over the weekend. The event was sponsored by LG Electronics who wanted to spread the word about their new washing machine. In addition to spreading awareness about its new invention, the event also served to benefit the Right Action for Women Initiative.

Michaels recently chatted about her venture into motherhood. “I don’t even answer email. I don’t have time to care about anything else,” the fitness guru said. “I want to be really present and enjoy all the nuances of their growth and development. I don’t want to rush any of it.”

Jillian became a mother earlier this year when Lukensia and Phoenix were given to her in the same week. Michaels fell in love with Lukensia after visiting several orphanages in Haiti.

The little girl needs some lotion on her arms and legs. Period. It’s so frustrating when white ppl have no clue how to care for black children in these little ways.

I wonder if they put lotion on her in Haiti because we all know you can die from ashy skin Well Im glad she has plenty of food, health care and a family

Agreed… Also im guessing Lukensia isn’t into the photographers.

  • Sherley June 25, 2012 at 12:09 pm

Is it just me or does Juliian & Heide look alike?

  • Sherley June 25, 2012 at 12:00 pm

Lukensia looks like she wants to slap one of the cameramen. Phoenix is cute as well.

I like that she is letting her daughter wear a short natural hairstyle it looks better this way.

Maybe shes planning on locking her hair. That’s how it looks in the beginning, plus its natural and I like that.

kids!what happen to adopting russian children!

    • kim June 25, 2012 at 9:45 am

Russia stopped foreign adoptions after a woman returned a boy she couldnt bond with after a year she put him on a plane with a note back to Russia.

    • Daniella June 25, 2012 at 11:15 am

Russia has stopped all foreign adoptions because of a woman who sent her adopted Russian son back there, all alone, on a plane, claiming she couldn’t bond with or control him. Not even my aunt & uncle, who’ve already adopted two children from Russia, can get another child anymore. And it’s becoming much more difficult to adopt from China & many European countries (who have hugely shrinking birth rates) in recent years as well.

The easiest & cheapest foreign places to adopt from are Africa, South America & Southeast Asia. They also have the most orphans as well.

    • Sherley June 25, 2012 at 12:08 pm

So only Russian kids deserve to be adopted? I’m currently in Haiti & we visited one of the orphanages & if I can take home one of them, I’d take 3 without blinking an eye. Any one who can withstand the difficult adoption process & is willing to open up their hearts, home, lifes to any child, praise them.

      • Moi June 25, 2012 at 1:44 pm

Dunno why this is such an issue with people. Would they rather the kids spent their lives in orphanages & inadequate foster care, vs being adopted into a loving home?

Hey Ms. Sherley, If we had stuck around an extra week I might have met you :-) but my parents had to get their “wedding” on this weekend. I know its not your fist time in Haiti but everytime we go I “discover” something new. Hope its the same for you.

        • Sherley June 25, 2012 at 5:44 pm

My step father was Haitian & he took me when I was 8 but I don’t remember it much. This is the first time it will mean something to me as I’m doing something worthwhile & it’s my son’s first time. He’s practicing his French. He sounds funny & struggles a bit, but he’s not having any issues speaking with the Haitian children. What part of Haiti where you in?

          Happy annivesary to your parents!

Our homes are in an area called Pétion-Ville. This time of the year when we go my dad spend most of his time making sure that the medical needs of my mums employees (she has a couple of factories there)and their families are being met (we send employess who can’t be taken cared of locally to France or Cuba). My mum spends her time making certain that their housing needs are being met.

Being able to speak French (and Creole) is definatly a plus in life. Your son can take it as an elective in school. Most of our emplyees worldwild are tri-lingual with English & French a “must”.

I’m proud to know that you and your son are there helping to build homes and a church (I was bragging to my mum about what you and your church were doing). Passed along “Happy Aniversary” to them. 17 years together and they still act like boyfriend and girlfriend, kind of yucky to me but what do I know, at my age too much PDA is yucky to me.
