JOELY FISHER AND KIDS ATTEND LG ELECTRONICS LAUNCHING

Joely Fisher along with husband Christopher Duddy and  daughters True,6, and Olivia Luna,3, attended ’20 Magic Minutes: A Family Celebration’ on Saturday, June 23, 2012. The event was hosted by LG Electronics in efforts to spread the word about their new Mega-Capacity TurboWash Washer.

Fisher recently expressed the joys of motherhood with Have You Heard. “You know I have three daughters. We have a lot of tea parties and a lot of make believe and they are, they all dance and sing and they’re funny people. I got three funny kids, you know, it’s just amazing,” exclaimed Joely.

When not working on the set of big and small screens, Joely serves as Artist Ambassador for Save The Children. She and Duddy have been married more than a decade and have five children together.

I don’t see anything wrong with her hair, it’s actually perfect to what I’ve seen from children with black parents. She’s so beautiful!!

  • candyisdandy June 25, 2012 at 7:52 pm

If they want to truly give a child a life she deserves, at least take the time to research hair and skin care. Like, black skin needs lotion for instance.

    • Daniella June 25, 2012 at 9:07 pm

I think the lotion can go for anyone. I’m white, but my adopted Congolese cousins have had far fewer skin issues than myself & the other redheads in our biological family (eczema, severe acne, rosacea, horrible sunburns, keloids, the list just goes on & on). Massive research does into the adoption of any child, no matter the race or ethnicity.

My one adopted Congolese cousin has an extremely sensitive scalp, so any time my aunt or the ladies at the salon tried to do anything beyond the very basics to it, she’d throw an absolute fit. Even braids were too much for her a lot of the time. At 16 years old now, she just does the minimum & wears it natural. I think it’s beautiful the way it is & she should keep it that way.

And by white people’s standards, Joely’s biological daughter’s hair is a tangled mess (or will be in an hour or two, tops). But they’re both little girls, what’re you gonna do?

      • WriterSanti June 27, 2012 at 1:51 am

Exactly Lotion is for anyone! And yes children get wild and their hair goes all over, thats just how it is.

  • Skylar June 25, 2012 at 6:21 pm

It;s the same person using different names who’s consumed with the child’s hair she looks fine with her little afro. Black people took care of white babies for centuries now white women are returning the favor. Anyone who would rather see a child languish in Foster care where they are passed around like checkers on a board are beyong plain mean they are vicious, jealous and mentally ill.

Her little braids I meant to write

  • Pisces June 25, 2012 at 2:56 pm

I thought that was Steve Martin at first.

  • Mercedes June 25, 2012 at 2:40 pm

Ummm…Am I the only inquisitive person on the topic of Hollywood adopting African children? It’s not sitting so well with me..Moreover, Olivia is a cutie patootie!

    • Hmmm... June 25, 2012 at 4:52 pm

If you’re concerned, then you adopt!

    • kim June 25, 2012 at 6:22 pm

As a person with 7 family members it doesn’t sit well with me people who have never adopted.I m sure you are an adoptive parent. Also Olivia is from America not Africa

  • Sherley June 25, 2012 at 11:57 am

Olivia is cute & her hair is part of the reason she looks cute. My goodness, black people..chill. No other cultural makes as much of a fuss over hair as we do. It’s not that serious..its.just.hair!!!

    • Vee June 25, 2012 at 1:40 pm

Unfortunately Ms Sherley it will take time for mindsets to change when it comes to black aesthetics. Colonialism has almost all convinced that unless hair is sleeked in some way, it’s not beautiful. The tide is turning, but it may be a while before we stop expecting wooly hair to behave & look like straight hair. Baby girl looks beautiful & her hair seems healthy & is gorgeous.

    • cici June 25, 2012 at 2:09 pm

      U are contradicted(sp) ur self.

      Sherley January 20, 2012 at 2:57 pm
David Jr is a cutie, but ummm..can we tame that hair? It’s like he wakes up & just goes out the door..

      • PlainMean June 25, 2012 at 2:30 pm

        Lol wow!

        • Trisha June 25, 2012 at 5:31 pm

          Same reaction @PlainMean lol

      • Sherley June 25, 2012 at 5:39 pm

You actually went back to a date from Jan?! Wow..the impression I leave on people..SMH.

It’s just hair & while Olivia’s hair looks nice, in that picture, David’s hair did not. And if I see him looking like that again, I will say the same thing. Olivia’s hair is done & looks nice.

        • cici June 25, 2012 at 5:58 pm

Yeah I went back that far. David hair is fine and well kept. Her hair is matted to her head. Some of the braids are sticking up. U did not impress me. Quit be full of your self

          • Sherley June 25, 2012 at 6:09 pm

Olivia’s hair is fine, David’s hair always looks like his parents wake him up & walk out the door. His parents are both black, neither of Olivia’s parents are.

I can’t remember if you ever posted on here before. You went back searching through archives of materials to find something that was truthfully posted more than 6mnths ago..oh sweetie..I impress you sooooo much, you aren’t aware of it yet. Don’t worry, I won’t tell anyone.

          • cici June 25, 2012 at 6:20 pm

What i post is true too. It does not matter how far i went back u said it. She can get a pass and he cant? I impress u too do not worry i want tell anyone.

  • Rhondra June 25, 2012 at 11:21 am

Olivia looks fine just the way she is there are little girls in my daughter’s class who war their hair the samw way.

  • truly amazing June 25, 2012 at 10:43 am

I love olivia’s hair also…it looks like locs/tiny twist in her hair. Why is hair always an issue with adopted african-american kids on this site. At least the child’s in a loving home with a family thats going to take care of her and love her. And thank goodness it’s not permed!!!. I’m so not a fan of the creamy crack. lol

  • joy June 25, 2012 at 10:18 am

Come on get off the hair stuff. Really how important is that compared to a loving healthy family. I have seen lots of kids with neatly done hair and they come from a broken dysfunctional homes. They seem to love their babies and that’s all that’s all that matters. Besides when she gets older she will get a perm and weave like everybody else. (lol)

  • BabyGirl June 25, 2012 at 10:15 am

her hair looks fine it is natural and in braids so good for them for not having it permed.

    • Trisha June 25, 2012 at 5:30 pm

Looking at her hair again, it looks like the front of her hair is pinned up. Her locs are short so when they are pulled up, they are gonna be sticking up. Maybe they are giving her dreads (unkept, messy) instead of locs (the very neat, no new growth showing lol). i know we have all seen people who are just starting out growing their locs w/ short hair & it sticks up instead of laying down which Olivia’s will when her hair grows longer

  • Amerie June 25, 2012 at 9:59 am

I see nothing wrong with Locs on kids but at least have them done right .Her hair looks messy and unkempt.

Everytime I see this babies head I instanly get pissed. She has too much money and resources for this childs head to look like this. But I see her other daughters hair is always nice and neat

    • Trisha June 25, 2012 at 10:02 am

Her other daughters hair is nice & neat? LOL Its down, flat

      • Sherley June 25, 2012 at 11:58 am

Thank you. If Olivia’s hair looked like her sisters, everyone would be up in arms about it being relaxed.

  • Motswana June 25, 2012 at 9:54 am

It’s been a while since we’ve seen Olivia, she is so adorable. I love her hair too.

  • Deshay June 25, 2012 at 9:32 am

She has gotten big. She’s a cutie :)

  • Shirley June 25, 2012 at 8:54 am
