HOLLY ROBINSON PEETE CONFRONTS 50 CENT OVER AUTISM JOKE
Actress Holly Robinson Peete recently penned an open letter to rapper 50 Cent after he made insensitive comments about Autism via Twitter.
50 Cent was responding to a supposed fan when he tweeted, “Yeah just saw your picture fool you look autistic RT @yung_raditz @50cent Release the album or get shot again. I dont want no special ed kids on my time line follow some body else[sic].”
Holly read 50′s comment and retaliated by writing to the rapper/author. “When I read [the tweet] my heart sank,” wrote Holly. “I thought maybe your account had been hacked. No such luck. You went on to joke about not wanting ‘special ed kids’ on your timeline. Seriously, THIS is how you use your platform of 8 million plus followers?? I’ve met you in passing over the years and I know you are a bright, astute businessman, and legitimate philanthropist so it is with a bit of sincere confusion that I ask you, Do you even know what autism is?”
Holly later asked 50 Cent to delete the comments to which he obliged. Peete’s son, Rodney Jr. Peete, was diagnosed with autism when he was a toddler. He is now 14 years old.

I don’t get the big deal about it. People make jokes about people with cold sores etc & I don’t see the uproar or out cry for those that suffer from that ailment. Anyway’s I doubt he meant it to be mean towards those with it…SMH!!
There is a HUGE difference between joking with an adult regarding a cold sore than saying someone, ‘Yeah just saw your picture fool you look autistic.’ If that wasn’t bad enough he followed with ‘I dont want no special ed kids on my time line follow some body else’. If you can not see how hurtful that is to someone with that ailment, you may need to go make a friend who is autistic. 50 ignorant behind even said ‘get shot again’. He’s such a bafoon.

I admire Holly she got straight to the point that was so insensitive but she put him in his place tactfully and he understood which is good.
Curtis 50 Jackson has always been an A-hole & will always be one. He will also raise his son to be the same A-hole he is. I nevr had an respect for him as a rapper, man or person. He has no idea how blessed he was when God graced him during his accident a few weeks ago. Hope God continues blessing him.

Okay..first let me just say that what 50 cent said was truly unreal and truly insensitive to all those hard working parents , with special needs children. I have no respect for ANYONE who say’s hurtful comments towards special needs children. What is this world coming too. I’m so glad Holly put his idiot butt on the line. What if his son was born with special needs, I’m so sure 50 cent would NEVER let anyone make jokes about him. What a complete MORON!!!!
