There may be a light at the end of the tunnel for Usher and Tameka. According to TMZ, the R&B singer has decided to come to a consensus with his estranged wife in terms of custody and child support for the former couple’s two children.

Although Usher and Tameka have been going through a very public custody battle, Usher has offered to settle with the stylist by giving her more money in child support and allowing her the majority of custody over their sons. Such offer comes six days after Tameka’s son Kile,11, was declared brain dead by doctors after a jet ski accident. Although Tameka has neither accepted nor declined the proposal, close family friends say that she is willing to discuss a reasonable settlement with Usher.

Naviyd,3, and Usher V,4, are Usher and Tameka’s only children together. Tameka has five children in all.

  1. First off I want to say awesome blog! I had a quick question in which I’d like to ask if you don’t mind.

I was interested to know how you center yourself and clear your thoughts prior to writing.
I’ve had difficulty clearing my thoughts in getting my thoughts out.
I truly do enjoy writing but it just seems like the first
10 to 15 minutes are generally wasted just trying to figure out how to begin. Any recommendations
    or tips? Kudos!

  2. I will immediately grasp your rss feed as I can not find your e-mail subscription hyperlink or e-newsletter service.
Do you have any? Please allow me recognise so that I could subscribe.
    Thanks.

  3. My spouse and I absolutely love your blog and find a lot of your post’s to be just
what I’m looking for. can you offer guest writers
to write content in your case? I wouldn’t mind publishing a post or elaborating on most of the subjects you write related to here.
    Again, awesome site!

  5. to the people who think the child should stay on life support b/c “something might happen”, that’s ignorant. When you are brain dead, unfortunately you will not recover. period. Get educated about it before you post.

    • Sounds like you need an education on Faith. Try having a conversation with God, he may open your eyes to something you didn’t know existed.

  6. Funny how the whole article tmz wrote isn’t posted but I don’t see why she can’t do 50/50 but whatever he’s ok with this so ehhh…At least someone is trying to end this peacefully because now isn’t the time for a custody battle..

  7. LaTanya, I too read somewhere she rejected Usher’s first settlement offer. Usher is now trying to come up with a better offer. Personally, I think this woman is still thinking about her pockets more than she is thinking about anything else. I’m glad Usher is fighting for sole custody of his children, it’s better than him paying her a large amount & seeing them when he sees them.

I’ll still praying for Kile & my heart still goes out the Tameka & Ryan Glover.

  8. You would think that with what happened to her son Tameka would realize that time is too precious and that the kids needs both of them. He offered her joint custody and more money but she turned it down because she wants sole custody and alot more money. Now he’s willing to give up 50/50 custody just to make things better for her…..I’m sorry but if I was him I wouldn’t settle. I’m still praying for her son but Usher really needs to think this through!

    • Stop it! She did not reject his offer because she’s seeking sole custody. She and Usher were sharing joint custody before HE petitioned the court in their case. I don’t believe sole custody is an issue.

      • Well T*Z reported that he presented her with a 50/50 agreement and more money and she turned it down and if that report is wrong then I stand corrected. I don’t know what her reasons are but unless it’s physical abuse those boys need to be with both of them. Like I said in another post I have never bad mouth Tameka mainly because I don’t know her I just hope she’s not using them to get more money. As a mother I pray for her son and family that has not changed and will not no matter what!

    • Please STOP IT!! This woman has had ENOUGH! Stop believing what you read. She has not yet been presented with the updated custoday terms.

      • So you tell me to stop believing what I read but it’a apparent that you believe what you just read on BCK O_o. Bottom line I wish nothing but the best for Kyle and have never bad mouth Tameka I just believe that those kids need both of them!

  9. I’m starting to get really pissed that my comments will most post when there is nothing offensive in them! It would be nice for Admin to give a response to why this happens and address this issue! Many people have complained and to my knowledge, there has been no response! Yet, BCK responds quickly if someone points out a typo. Very disappointing.

    • I’m with you PlainMean. Almost all the regulars who have no problems posting their opinions, are on BCK ‘terror watch list’. All the others can curse, call a child out of their name, say whatever & it posts automatically. I know it’s their site & they can moderate it however they want, but it’s like come on already.

  10. I agree with you.

Tameka said “My children take precedence over business”.

Wasn’t she out of town on business and not personally supervising her child’s recreational activities when the tragedy occurred?

I know she’s suffering now but I wouldn’t trust leaving the younger sons in Miss Tameka’s majority custody at this point.

It’s still nice of Usher to console and not agitate her with legal nonsense during this time of sorrow. If it takes money to make her happy so be it.

All the money in the world will never replace a beautiful child’s life.

    • Come on now, that’s really low and not fair at all! No one, especially a working mother, is able to watch their child 24/7! He has a father and stepmom and other extended family and friends with whom he was with when this accident occurred.

It’s nice that Usher has decided to be the bigger person and do what he possibly should’ve done before all of this happened. It usually takes two people to ruin a marriage and they’ve both acted a little childish in this custody case. Why kick the woman when she’s down?

      • I agree with you PlainMean. No one is with their children all of the time. This could have happened if she was there or not. And if Tameka not being present at all times with her children is the reason why a person believes she shouldn’t have majority of custody, then let’s think about it. Usher just finished another album, he has shows all over the world all the time. They wouldn’t be with him majority of the time either. I think it’s really easy to place blame when it’s not you in that situation. I’ll continue to keep everyone involved in my prayers.

      • Hi PlainMean! Thanks for pulling my coat tail if I took a low blow at Tameka. I should not during a parent’s obvious crisis. But in my mind, safety of the kids is a priority at all times. Parenting also includes to my way of thinking, making sure whoever is watching them can make prudent decisions about what is safe or not.

Some parents may cross the line when it comes to permitting water activities for their kids if they personally are not around to be with them. I think parents eyes see their children differently when they are looking to keep their kids as safe as possible.

I was mainly just quoting the Mom’s own words. I personally don’t see how she can even talk money, custody or settlement “business” while her child is languishing on life support.

I know people grieve in different ways but the least of my concern would be anything that Usher is talking about now. I’m sure he was already giving her enough money to be a stay at home Mom if she wanted to be.

Again, PlainMean, you know I cyber love you as a friend and want no discourse with you. As always I’m just talking. But thanks for heads up on my showing more sensitivity in this case. No harm meant. Still buddies? :)

      • I agree with PlainMean! Tameka always allowed Ryan Glover generous visitation. Kile has siblings on both sides of the family. God Bless Kile and all those touched by this tragedy.

    • Have to disagree with you Pisces, even though Tameka was out of town, Kile was with his father at the time of the accident. Her son was in good care. Even if she was there, there is no guarantee she could have prevented what happened to Kile. Now you know this woman rubs me the wrong way something terrible; however she does not deserve any blame in this part. The sole blame belongs to the guy driving the jet ski.

    • As a matter of fact Tameka and Ryan(Kile’s father) have joint custody and he was in the custody of his father at the time.

    • A kid getting hit on a inner tube can happen while a child is with Usher or while a child is with YOU.

That’s ridiculous. The kid didn’t stick scissors in an outlet while she was drinking booze. Get your life perspective together.

      • You’re absolutely right, accidents can happen anywhere and anytime.

But if I have the luxury of traveling around the world on “business” trips, getting plastic surgery in South America or wherever, my “life perspective” is that I would have my children near me at all times especially if my lifestyle affords it. That’s just me though. That’s what I would use the freedom that wealth brings for.

I know that a plane could fall out of the air anytime with me and my child in it but I’d rather go down with the child instead of him being alone without me on an inner tube on the water.

I realize that kids can play in the sand and accidentally bury themselves alive in the sand and also that a shark could have attacked him in shallow water, too.

But I know other people feel that way too, even celebrities, and that is why they use their wealth for body guards and extra security. They want to keep their children as safe from harm as is humanly possible.

Beyonce could trip and fall in heels with her baby in her arms and cause the baby brain injury, but that doesn’t stop her from having body guards avaialble and close at hand.

Yo…just offering various perspectives on the situations of parenting and safety of kids.

      • @ Yo..how many incidents have you heard of children in particular, getting hit by a jet ski while sitting on an inner tube in presumably shallow water? I doubt that many freak accidents occur such as this. A child is more likely to electrocute him/her self as opposed to getting hit by a jet ski in shallow water.

I guess that’s why it is yet to be determined whether criminal charges will be brought against the jet ski driver. If so, then this will be deemed more than a mere accident.

That is why the situation is under police/criminal investigation.

        • Usher is proving to be a caring man and father, though. Remember, Usher helped his sons mother out before when she underwent cardiac arrest in Brazil while under anesthesia for liposuction. He flew to be by her side and take care of her.

She survived to continue to be a mother for her children in spite of undergoing a dangerous elective, unnecessary, superficial surgery..
I wonder if she is putting her life priorities in perspective these days and after her own near death experience which could have robbed her children of a mother prematurely?

          So many contradictions.

  11. God is good. I was hoping they could work things out with their children. I pray Kile Glover is still holding up. He’s not dead and will not be before his time

  12. That is great news and I hope she accepts. Sometimes it takes a tradgedy to see things more clearly. I am still pryaing for Kile and his family!

  13. Well sometimes God works in strange ways. Maybe that was the sign to both Usher&Tameka that it’s not worth it! Glad at least something positive came out of such a horrible tragedy :( I read somewhere Tameka refuses to take him off lipe support. That poor thing. I hope for a miracle for the sake of everyone.

    • I would refuse to take my son off life support at this time either. It’s too soon..anything can happen. If it were me, no one would dare bring up removing life support for at least 3 months.

      • Agreed but hospitals can take a person off life support, without the family’s consent if it goes on for months. I know it sounds harsh but that’s what happened to someone I knew. Let’s hope it doesn’t reach that point for that family!

          • Wrong. Do you know how much it costs to keep a person on life support a day? Even for a celebrity , it would get to be too much. I read the insurance company is going to stop paying for him. And that Tameka will have to face pulling the plug. Sorry but the kid is dead legally. As hard and horrible as it sounds. He’s gone . Hospitals aren’t required to keep deceased people alive. They can go to court and get an order to remove life support without the family’s approval . I get the miracles and God is with him. So was God not with him at the time of the accident ? If God is truly with him, they need to let the poor boy go. That is not the way to keep someone artificially alive. He’s already with God.

  14. That’s wonderful. For the sake of little Kile, bless his soul, as well as his siblings, the adults are bringing dignity in their time of sorrow to the situation and their families. RIP little angel.

  15. Good for the both of them…the children should always be their first priorities in such matters. I’m still holding on for Kyle , I’m praying that he’ll pull through.

  16. Thank goodness! She just can’t take anymore pain and hurt right now. I follow her on twitter and her children are her world. and she never ever gave Usher a problem when it came to seeing his sons. I think he just wanted to lessen his child support by getting custody..

Anyway, glad they are willing to settle their differences.
