PHOTOS: WILLOW GETS RADICAL ABOUT HUMAN TRAFFICKING, SITS IN SENATE HEARING
Willow Smith is serious about human trafficking. The young star recently attended the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations Hearing on human trafficking and advocated for anti-trafficking laws. Jada, the tween’s mother, appeared before Congress to speak on behalf of her daughter in pushing for an extension to the current Trafficking Victims Protection Act.
“Fighting slavery doesn’t cost a lot of money. The costs of allowing it to exist in our nation and abroad are much higher. It robs us of the thing we value most, our freedom,” said Jada. Will Smith was also in attendance to support his wife and daughter in their endeavors.
Jada has written a song and participated in several campaigns to spread awareness since discovering the ferocious effects of human trading. Slavery through human trafficking becomes the norm for thousands of children every year.

Sadly, there’s always going controversy over Willow. Mainly because she doesn’t fit the description of what a 11 year old girl should look like. There’s nothing particularly wrong with her style, but if you’re old fashioned, her look may be a bit too mature and androgynous for you. When I think of 11 year old girls, I think of ribbons, pigtails, and dresses. Not shaved heads and boyish clothes.
love this family, yahoo (the yo show) has a great interview with Willow up and that child is more intelligent than most of the grown ups who spend so much time tearing her down.

This seems kinda camera, attention, hungry if you ask me. Hope I’m wrong but seems they are some true media you know whats. Not a hater but this doesn’t rub me right.
You mean attention you know what.Its hard to figure out whether its the kids pushing for attention or the parents pushing the kids for attention.As for this free slaves thing,I guess it was a good way for Jada to promote her new music video and stay relevant.
The top photo is not so flattering to Willow. Looks a little too androgynous for my taste. I like Willow’s spunk no matter what.
In that photo she looks nuts, but we know she was acting out and hopefully this was after everyone had left. She was having fun but the camera caught her at an not so good moment, lol.
My thing with her is that she is a lovely girl I assume because I truly don’t know her, she’s a beautiful girl as well, hair or no hair. I just wish she would be less eccentric and more child like. But again she probably is and we only see glimpses of her. I love her family though.
Great cause Willow, continue to do you hun. It’s sad how people will find negativity in anything! Smh
Smh @ some of these comments. So because she wants to stand against human trafficking she’s “out of control”. I bet if she was doing drugs & pregnant you people would think highly of her huh? Anyway, kudos to the Smith family for getting informed & supporting Willow not just by saying it but acting on it..

When Willow is pictured with her parents, particularly her dad, she looks like your typical little girl. She seems very sweet and innocent with Will. I believe that’s who she really is – a sweet 11 year old girl, who knows how to switch gears for the cameras and turn into a pretty good entertainer. That’s talent, and I can’t wait to see what she does as she becomes older.
Jada looks gorgeous as usual and Will is just yummy!

Why do you think that their is so much more controversy over Willow with regards to her upbringing and her choices as opposed to other tweens and teens in the spotlight?
I often ask the same question myself. I literally cringe before lookin at the comments every time there is a post about Willow. Of course not everyone will like her music and ways, but these comments are usually mean spirited and designed to inflict emotional pain. Reading some of the comments, the hate is fierce and palpable, for anyone to see. Last night on Facebook I reported some for the contents of their post. Ppl were commenting on her gender and crudely and disgustingly commenting on her private parts. This Willow hate is disgusting, and the only this I can see is that she is greatly different from most child stars.
Willow looks just like her father in the first picture. She’s supporting a great cause which I also support 100%. The people who are using these ‘services’ need to be jailed for as long as the people who are running it.
Btw I love seeing Will with Willow. She is a big daddy’s girl . Aww look at her with daddy’s jacket . She’s too cute. I think people really do forget she’s just a little kid sometimes

Human trafficking is sick. Thank God more people of influence are coming out about it. I support A21 Campaign. It saves thousands of girls being forced into sex slavery

It’s good she knows about such issues being the average age to be trafficked is 11 years old. Little girls her age go through it . As far as I am concered, Will and Jada are there every step with Willow. Will even said himself he watches her the most out of all his kids and Jada said she always Willow on her hip. So idk where people get this she has no guidance thing from. Is it because she cut her hair or something? I don’t get it!

Willow Smith can do nothin right! She will always be put down for anything she does. It’s sad and I really never will understand the hate that child gets. If it was any other kid, people will be praising the kid for being involved. As soon as it is Willow , she’s too young to know or she is being let run wild. Alright I didn’t know y’all were Will&Jada! Keep up the good work kiddo. She seems to have a good heart and two loving parents behind her! Kudos To Jada for standing up against human trafficking !
