UPDATE: TITO JOE(TJ) APPOINTED TEMPORARY GUARDIANSHIP
Updated on 7/25/12: A judge has made TJ the temporary guardian for MJ’s three kids. Katherine’s guardianship has been suspended. The judge also ordered TJ to file a petition for permanent guardianship.(Read More).
The Jackson feud is growing by the day and now Tito’s son is looking to attain temporary guardianship of the late Michael Jackson’s kids. According to TMZ, Tito Joe Jackson applied for guardianship of Paris, Blanket, and Prince after the threesome’s current guardian, Katherine Jackson, was presumed kidnapped by close family friends. Michael’s kids have not seen their grandmother in nine days and are all on board for Tito Joe to take responsibility for them.
Sandra Ribera, lawyer for the Jackson family, recently gave the inside scoop on the possible kidnapping of Katherine to E! magazine. As she explains ,
“Yesterday afternoon certain Jackson family members ambushed Katherine Jackson’s home after their vehicle tore security gates on the tails of the SUV containing Michael Jackson’s children.
After exiting their vehicles, Jackson family members ran up to Michael’s children as they yelled and began to aggressively grab at the cell phones in their hands. Out of concern for the well being of Prince, Paris and Blanket Jackson, the children were forced to temporarily leave their home and taken to a safe location. An altercation ensued shortly thereafter and law enforcement arrived at the scene
Prince, Paris and Blanket Jackson have not heard from their grandmother since she left their home nine days ago to attend a series of her sons’ concerts on their Unity Tour. She never made the shows. Despite efforts to interview Katherine Jackson at her current location in Arizona yesterday, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s [Department] confirmed that they were denied access to Mrs. Jackson by security for one of her children
If Katherine doesn’t surface and make contact with the kids, they will do what they got to do,” says the source. “They are considering every option in the playbook.”
Katherine was given legal guardianship over Michael’s kids after the pop star died in 2009. Michael leaves behind three children in all.

To all the people questioning whether TJ would be a good temporary guardian, he has 3 kids, a wife, and a stepdaughter so he most likely does have parenting skills and good ones at that. P.S He’s actually their first cousin.

Did anyone see the tweets of Marlon Jackson where he said he had not spoke to his mother in days and when he asked his siblings to talk and see her he was denied because of “Doctor Orders” but then he turns on the tv & there she is giving an interview .. And did anyone see that BS interview ? Or what about the Tweets of Prince where he gave a statement & then tweeted a screen shot of a group Txt he sent out to his aunts & cousins asking to speak to his grandmother & Janet txted back saying for them not to let him and God knows how much I love me some Janet Jackson but something Isn’t right .. Whatever they are doing they need to leave the children out of it …
This just breaks my heart. Why are her children doing this to her. She seems like a very nice person, I don’t care what people say about Mrs. Jackson and maybe Michael Jackson had gotten his kind heart from her.

Its like a movie script.I believe that Katherine was kidnapped,drugged,and somebody was trying to control her mind with psychology methods.Anyway if she doesn’t get back to the house soon to claim her guardianship then Tj will be emptying those bank accounts.Mj’s kids may love him vice versa,but he may love money more,just like his dad and uncles.
what on God’s green earth is going on over there with the Jacksons. If Katherine is being held against her will why haven’t the police been called? At this point someone needs to step in even Debbie Rowe if it comes down to it to get these kids away from this madness. I can’t believe how out of control this has gotten with MJ being gone he would have never wanted his kid’s subjected to such madness. I never understood why he let some of his siblings live in his house when they were nothing but money hungry and would try to leech off them. When Katherine took control of his children and his estate she should have had the rest of the jacksons moved off the property far away from those kids. There is something not right with this family! I don’t trust any of Michael’s siblings… There just after Michael’s money. The money is for his children. There so greedy and were so horrible to Michael whilst he was still around. I was shocked to see what Janet did to Paris!
And this is my problem…the lies and rumors. What did Janet do to Paris? The video shows her trying to take the phone from Paris and Paris refusing to give it to her. Those stories about Janet cursing at her and hitting her are unproven rumors. The child tweets about everything else so surely she would’ve tweeted had her aunt slapped her.
And people are killing me with saying that Janet did something wrong. We can’t hear any audio and don’t know why Janet wanted to take the phone from Paris (although we can guess). In my family aunts and uncles are respected and have the right to take electronics from a child if they’re stepping out of line.

I really do not follow this family so I’m not sure of the dynamics of who has guardianship and whats going on with whom. BUT I happened to see Paris’ twitter page over the last few weeks and someone needs to take her phone and cancel her account. That is not the forum for her to be attacking other family memebers and airing out the family’s business. She comes off a lil too grown and so rude to me, but that’s just judging from Twitter so who knows. But whatever is going on I hope they get it together and quick.

Have anyone thought that at 84 Katherine maybe losing it (dementia or alzheimers) and the kids are trying to hide that fact since she has partial control over Micheals estate. I believe the money should go to Katherine and the kids but I have to agree thst Paris is getting out of hand tweeting sll kids of fooishness. I’m sorry Pisces, but I cannot trust anyone with the last name Jackson in this scenario. Only person I truly feel can do right is Janet, but she doesn’t strike me as the I want to raise children type. These children need someone who is not attached to the money. Get them away from the Jackson clan, 1st, 2nd, 5th brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, cousins & fathers.
Jermaine, Tito & the other boy one are all going broke & need the MJ estate to take care of them. They are putting so much pressure on Katherine, she had a mini stroke or other health issue. Rebbie probably stepped in & has her mother resting in her home. It has been said after a stroke, one’s memory isn’t 100% so they are preventing Katherine from contacting MJ’s children. In the meantime, all was going fine in their diabolical plan until Ms Paris started tweeting about Katherine being missing. Janet, fresh off a vacay, hears about this & wants to bring MJ’s kids to see their grandmother. She’s also trying to tell Paris to stop being a grown behind & telling everyone about their business, by taking her phone. That is the crazy behind story. Well, the way I see it anyway.
As for TJ being their guardian, he’s 34. Can a 34yr old properly raise 2 teenagers & 10 yr old? He’s not employed either & lives off Katherine. How can we be sure he’s not in it for the money as well? How can we be sure he wont share with the greedy others? All 3 of MJs kids need to be placed with someone who is not a Jackson & strong enough to kill all the BS they keep bringing. Diana Ross is the best choice, however, I’ll take Debbie Rowe at this point.

Maybe Tito removed his name so not to affact TJ in his gain for guardianship & in return TJ will hook his father up. Who knows, but I’m not buying all this is out of pure love for MJ’s kids. Lol yeah, 34 is very grown and capable. TJ has a wife and 3 kids so maybe he can provide MJ’s 3 with a “normal” family structure. Diana Ross is a 68 year old alcoholic. If she’s in a good place now, she probably doesn’t want 2 teens and a 10 year old. That could possibly drive anyone to drink! Debbie Rowe gave her kids away and still doesn’t show interest in being a mother so I don’t know why she’d be a candidate…. But I will gladly take all three of the kids. Agreed with everything you said in both of your post Sherley. While I wish Michael were here to help his babies, he is no longer with us and the one he’d hoped to be their protector if he ever left us would be Katherine.
Now if Katherine is indeed ill, then the torch should be passed along to yet another family member, perhaps Reebie. While being the oldest and by all appearances, the most stable, I think the kids would be in good hands.
As for TJ, I see him as being an older brother rather than a guardian. He looks like the type that might play and joke with them alot and they feel comfortable around him, but is he financially stable to raise them?
I often wonder how Debbie Rowe must be feeling about seeing her children (Prince and Paris) being tossed around like this and would she ever consider stepping in despite the legal battle she’d be faced with.

Whoever the judge appoints custody to, I hope he takes a nice long look into the situation before he makes a decision. Much thought needs to be put into it before permanent custody is established. Seriously, I am concerned for Blanket. Not that I’m not concerned for the other two, but he’s so young and seems so sensitive and so much has happened to him already. Think about it. He loses his father when he was only 7 as well as Grace, the kid’s nanny who was probably the adult closest to them besides their father. Grace helped raise these children and was probably the only mother-figure in Blanket’s life. Both gone and now he’s life changed completely over-night. Not only did his surroundings change, but now he has to deal with paps in his face when he goes out and ppl knowing who he is and screaming out his name. Weird for a 7 year-old to suddenly experience that. That’s enough to process just by itself. But now add to that his grandmother disappearing for almost 10 days, family bickering with family and made-for-tv drama in his very own home. I know he’s confused. IJS…get some stability in these kids life once and for all before they end up with issues. Esp Blanket. I don’t know what’s going on and I don’t want to point fingers, but shame on anyone who has any selfish or malicious intent and is not considering the emotional welfare of these children.

If punches and slaps were thrown I feel Paris should respect her elders, but knowing how this family has been for years, I believe they just want money and this is probably why MJ stayed away from them. I believe the Jackson siblings have good intentions and are trying to protect their mother, niece, and nephews! Maybe they’re just going about things the wrong way. I doubt this is about money. Janet has money and has no reason to try to get Michael’s, and plus each of MJ’s wills leave out his siblings so they wouldn’t get money away. People keep saying “this is why Michael stayed away from his siblings”, but he replaced them with a bunch of yes-men and bought “friends”. His lawyers and the executors of his estate probably are crooked just like a lot of other people MJ kept around him. They probably are also taking advantage of Katherine Jackson. If she can be taken from her home and not contact the grandchildren she’s responsible for, then I’m sure she can be used by some crooked lawyers!

Exactly. His children were very acquainted with their family so those rumors of him staying away are a bit exaggerated. They also tried to stage interventions for Michael on more than one occasion. They defended Michael and attempted to intervene in his life because they cared – that’s what family does. Meanwhile, his friends that he kept around him (and put over his money) kept him drugged up, kept his family away, disappeared during his trials, killed him with propofol, and claimed paternity of his children after he died. If they weren’t sure if those kids were really Jacksons, or if they even cared if they were biologically his then dont you think they would have gotten dna test done after Michael died To prove they were Jacksons?
Those three kids are Jacksons because Michael raised them and was their father. It doesn’t matter whether they’re Michael’s adopted or biological children, he was their dad & he loved them & raised them. If the Jacksons can’t respect that, then they don’t deserve a dime of Michael’s money.
And even if the kids are adopted & aren’t blood-related to any of the Jacksons, that doesn’t matter at all in a court of law. Since Michael was legally their father, that’s all the judge will care about & he’d scold the Jacksons out of the courtroom for arguing that adopted children aren’t equal to biological children in the eyes of the law.
And it’s not like Michael would be the first person to give a huge fortune & inheritance to his/her adoptive (if they are, it doesn’t matter) children.

I doubt the family cares whether or not Michael is the biological father of these kids. Michael is their father and they are Jackson’s, regardless of their DNA.
I often thought that Michael was weird, but I feel more sory for him now that we are seeing his family in action.
If they aren’t Jacksons then what are they? I don’t think there is any dispute that those are Michael’s children… bio or not.. those are his children.
I never said he should not leave them anything because they may not be Jacksons. It does seem questionable as his siblings are pointing out that the will is legitimate. Michael was in New York on the day his lawyers claimed the will was executed.
Furthermore, these lawyers seem to have an agenda. Why are they interested in being legal guardians? The will stipulated that Diana Ross would be the backup legal guardian not them. I don’t see where the lawyers are trying to make that happen. I do believe they were overwhelming Katherine which caused her to have a mini-stroke.
This whole situation reminds me of what happened with Anna Nicole, that sleazy Howard Stern and the equally sleazy psychiatrist. Also, the Jacksons did try to intervene and help their brother but were unsuccessful. I guess they don’t want the children to be taken advantage of by people who don’t have their best interest at heart.
Maybe Katherine needed to get away from those kids….just sayin’.
Wow, Michael must be rolling over in his grave right now. This is exactly what he’d tried so hard to prevent by keeping the kids away from his crazy family. I wonder if Katherine even knows what is going on or that her children are acting like a bunch of money-grubbing leeches again. I’m starting to think that it’d be best if someone outside the family (like Diana Ross, since she was in the will as a second choice for guardian) got custody of Prince, Paris, and Blanket. At least with Diana everyone would know that she’s not going to try to steal their money.
But still, even if Katherine’s taking a vacation or whatever, you can’t leave a 15, 14, and 10-year-old without a guardian and, to make matters worse, not tell them where you’re going or talk to them for nearly 2 weeks! That’d be enough to get CPS to step in for any normal, run-of-the-mill family.
There are several articles out saying that Randy, Jermaine, Janet, and Rebbie have been plotting since Michael’s death to overthrow his will. This is absolutely disgusting! Their father is gone and all their aunts and uncles see when they look at them are dollar signs! I wanted to believe Janet was sincere but after reading reports of how she ambushed Paris Im not so sure anymore. My heart aches for these kids because there is aboslutely no one they can trust, not even their family and that is truly sad.

I agree, a college education is great but not everyone is meant for college. And it really doesn’t help when the person telling her not to get into the entertainment industry is an entertainer!!! Her entire family is practically entertainers! Janet obviously had dreams of being an actress and singer and pursued them so why stop Paris from pursing hers!

I do believe Janet is going about it the wrong way, though her intentions are good. I think she is trying to control the situation too much. If you look at the fight video online, you see Paris backing away from her. She doesn’t trust her aunt either. It’s kind of sad because I know Janet just wants to look out for them.

I agree with that.She is acting like a typical teenage girl.Its really hard for kids being in show biz though.Often times their are a lot of bad things that happen behind the scenes,and that is many child celebs end up on drugs when they get older.Plus Paris doesn’t need the money.The more money she has,the more people there will be who will try to manipulate her.She just needs to focus on school for now.But,really the biggest problem is that these kids and their grandmother are being harrassed.If someone doesn’t help Katherine out soon then some greedy Jacksons will empty those accounts.Since Randy and Paris had kind of a fall out,I wonder if her and her cousins started fighting.She seemed really close with Randy kids,and I hope the fighting doesn’t trickle down to the next generation.

The kids are the first to exit the car and THEY walk up to the other car and you see nothing out of the normal. No aunts and uncles runnig to anyone or screaming at anyone.
Secondly, the video does show Janet reaching for Paris’s phone. She wasn’t forceful, just reaching (twice) and each time Paris moves away. Then an uncle comes and points to the house and Paris walks in the house. No slap from either Janet nor Paris. BTW…Paris confirmed this on her instagram. What looked wierd about that though was Janet and the other brother, who I believe to be Randy, where filiming Paris. They also had smiles on their faces. Very weird but it didn’t again, no slaps and it def didn’t look like anyone was arguing.
But for Katherine to not contact her grandchildren and for them to not be able to contact her is just crazy. And for some of MJ’s brothers to go on TV to say that they haven’t talked to their mother is hella crazy as well. If I thought something was going on with my mother, I’d be on the first flight to whatever to figure out what’s going on. This entire situation is def fishy but everything being reported is not accurate.
Your right. I just saw the video & i don’t see Paris getting grabbed & i don’t see Janet smacking her. I did think it was weird that she was recording Paris tho. I don’t think Paris is acting grown at all. I think w/ all that is going on, she doesn’t know who to trust & has to stick up for her & her brothers to show her uncles/aunts that they can’t pull a fast one on her. But i still feel like they should speak w/ their grandmother before just jumping in a car
What in the world is going on? This is utterly ridiculous!! I’m trying to figure out why Katherine abandon the kids and why wasn’t Janet and Randy allowed on the premises to take them to see their grandma? It’s to many stories going around I’m confused and poor Michael is doing flips in his grave! I pray for the Jackson family because they truly need it!
This is so messy and suspicious! Why would Ms. Jackson be away for so long without the children knowing her whereabouts? Why is Marlon on tv crying about his mom being kidnapped, yet Randy, Rebbie, Jermaine, and Janet are in contact with Ms. Jackson. Why are they contesting Michael’s will when even his previous will leaves out all of his siblings, gives guardianship to Ms. Jackson, and still names the same executors as the current will?!?! I’m starting to think that Ms. Jackson is senile and maybe TJ would be a good guardian for the kids.

Paris is acting like she doesn’t have to listen to any advice from any adults who are not in agreement with her doing whatever she wants. She actually believes Janet is hating on her when she gave her advice on acting. She’s tweeting her family business to everyone & she already knows the media is harsh. In my opinion, she’s acting grown when she needs to chill. Not saying she should do whatever the Jackson clan tells her to, but she needs to differintiate between the bad people & the good ones wanting what’s beter for her.

I don’t really blame Paris for acting this way over the last few days. I’d be doing the same thing if I had a bunch of relatives coming after me, my guardian mysteriously disappeared & I didn’t trust a good portion of my family. The Jacksons can’t sneak over the children if a lot of other people are aware of it. Telling kids to keep their mouths shut & know their place has led to A LOT of children being abused or taken advantage of by greedy or sick adults. If something really fishy’s going on, I don’t blame her for speaking up to whoever will listen in an attempt to stop this chaos from going on.
Exactly.I don’t like or do twitter,but at least it helped her get the message out there that her grandma was in fact missing.She should not have to hide something like that.Its good that she left everyone know,so that everyone would question the greedy siblings and hopefully boycott their shows.Those siblings think that they,their baby mommas,and their kids can live off Michaels legacy and estate forever.They are gron men who need to work and make their own money.I’m not sure why Janet was in on this,but she and her brothers had no right to go and try to remove the kids from their home and the state in which they live.It was really wrong how randy reffered to Katherine nd the kids house as his.How can he possibly think that the house is his.
