Less than 48 hours after the late Michael Jackson’s three children have been placed in the custody of TJ Jackson, Grandma Katherine is bringing clarity to the situation.
“There are rumors going around about me that I have been kidnapped and held against my will. I am here today to let everybody to know that I am fine. My children would never do a thing to me like that, holding me against my will. It’s very stupid for people to think that,” the family matriarch said to ABC News. “I am devastated that while I’ve been away, my grandchildren have been taken away from me, and I’m coming home,” Jackson added.

Katherine claims that her short stay in Arizona was a short vacation, and not the result of violence. Paris, Prince, and Blanket were placed in the protective custody of TJ on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 after Katherine was reported missing for 9 days.
Meanwhile, Michael Jackson’s eldest son Prince Michael I took to Twitter earlier this morning to share his side of the story. He wrote:
I would first like to start off this tweet by thanking the fans that have always stood by me and my family, my dad really appreciated your support and I still treasure it to this day. As I am sure everyone is well aware of the events that have been going on. I have been holding off on backing up my sister and her tweets avidly because I was waiting for the time to reveal my side. As long as I can remember my dad had repeatedly warned me of certain people and their ways. Although I am happy my grandma was returned, after speaking with her I realized how misguided and how badly she was lied to. I’m really angry and hurt. The following image is of a group chat I had started to several family members. This group text message I had started was replied to but they didn’t know that I could see the responses. For this whole time, they denied us contact to our grandmother. “If you continue with your lies I will continue with the truth”

Along with the tweet, Prince showed his followers a screenshot of a group chat involving family members Austin, Rebbie, and Janet Jackson. During the chat, Prince demands to “speak to his grandma” to which Janet replies, “Don’t let them pls.”

Ok, the siblings are contesting the will? We don’t know if the people in charge of distributing the money to Michael’s kids and other beneficiaries are handling it properly. People in authority take advantage of ppl all the time! Just last week I had to approach my boss about not giving me all of my vacation pay.

Hey, at 14 years of age I don’t think Paris is responsible enough to call the shots. I believe a great deal of the Jackson family problems can be solved by supervisor. Catherine is in no way able to raise two teenagers and a small child be herself. I believe the situation had gotten out of hand and Janet and others tried to handle it. Paris needs guidance. Let’s be real how many of us would allow our 14 year old to discuss personal family business on Twitter and interact with so many strangers. This is not a good situation and Paris is a child no matter how much money she has and needs to be checked.
Some of these comments sound like a bunch of abuse mental cases themselves. This situation is serious no matter how much you like the Jackson’s some of them are seriously unbalanced, and appears to be dangerous to the health and welfare of these children including your beloved Janet Jackson. She is not the guardian of these children nor is her sisters & brothers. Ms. Jackson did not have the right to slip Paris or call the 14 year old a spoil little bitch. That may the tone you may used with children or Gladys Knight’s sick tone. These are children who were brought up to be respectful, but what these children are experiencing is not respect nor love. This is how I feel… I am thankful for MJ’s children sake that Paris did put out a tweet. Many may believe it was inappropriate, but few seen to realize that these children life and safety are at stake. It do not matter how famous the Jackson’s are due to Michael Jackson that there are some unbalance relatives of these children who I believe are capable of anything criminal against the welfare and being of these children. Due to the hostility toward MJ’s children you do not know who to trust and it would be better if the children were removed from the entire Jackson clan. The children are living under a stress environment that is not conducive to their well-being and by them being minors will start acting out in ways children have a tendency to do when under stress. Ms. Janet Jackson her intentions for the wellbeing of these children were never sincere, she did not accept MJ’s children it was an act and proven it’s all about his estate. Jermaine, Randy and Rebbie with the help of Janet plotted to remove their own mother (the grandmother of MJ’s minor children) out of her household and left these children unattended, without communication. Common-sense what adult in their right mind would leave 10, 14, &15 year old unsupervised alone for nearly two weeks. The best interest for these children is not there. People can say all they want Mrs. Jackson did nothing wrong and should be given back the custody of the children, but the fact remains the same Janet, Jermaine, Randy and Rebbie will not stop and no telling what their next move is going to be to remove the children. All I say this is not a healthy, stable secure environment for MJ’s children and this should not be taken lightly. Too many dangerous factors revealing themselves against these children even if it means putting their own mother’s health at risk. Before you start judging children you know nothing about read the full story of the case. We hide things when we don’t want the truth to come. That’s why so many women who were beaten by their significate others, children, family members were killed because they kept quite.
I believe that if Jermaine and Randy in particular didn’t have the Jackson name to ride on, they would probably be homeless and living under a freeway somewhere.
Randy was doing odd jobs at stores like Big Lot before Michael passed away.
The majority of the Jackson family have no skill sets other than singing and dancing and now they are all too old to even do that the way they used to.
College is not everything but at least most people that go to college can conduct themselves in a civilized manner. When it comes to money all of that goes out the window, I guess.
From my understanding Katherine had not been feeling well and was told that she needed to rest which her kids then sent her to Arizona with family. Katherine is 82 and she may not be able to handle the two older kids as well as someone who’s older. We all know what happens when some children become teenagers not to mention I believe MJ spoiled them rotten. They weren’t use to the environment that their in. Paris should be able to voice her opinion but at the same time family business should stay within the family. Furthermore just because she’s tweeting something does not mean that it’s 100 percent the truth. She could be doing this to piss off a family member that she’s angry with or just to get attention. Michael was closest to Janet and I find it hard to believe she would be trying to purposely keep her dead brother’s kids away from their grandmother. I think the kids need to be with someone other than Katherine that’s able to care for them and handle him them and will see that their brought up the way their father would have wanted

These Jackson “kids” (Rebbie, Jermaine, Jackie, Tito, etc.) are in their 50′s and 60′s now. They need to go sit down and be satisfied with what they do have or have had. Rebbie is 62 years old and she just needs to be thinking about helping her dear mother soak her teeth and take her pills along with her taking her own pills (Rebbie that is).
Jackie probably has onset dementia or Alzheimer Disease himself already, (61 years old) and that is why he is not talking so much about anything. Which is a good thing.
I am shocked at people thinking beating a child with a belt is funny. I was severly beaten with one as a child and I can say no one ever hit my kids with one not even as a teen, I would have never allowed it. MJ did not beat his children and did not want them treated that way. Paris is not an adult and social media is how kids communicate now. I do think Janet was concerned about her Mother’s health. Seems like none of them handle this situation to well. I think the media needs to back off and let this family try to work it out and mend.
I got very few whippings when I was a kid, but when I did, it was with an old fashioned razor strap. I received very few whippings because I learned from the first sting I experienced from the piece of leather barbers used to use to sharpen their razors.
I don’t condone it, but marshal punishment has been used to discipline children and women in the USA since the country’s inception. Only since child abuse laws have been put in place in the 20th century have the incidences of getting whipped by a belt decreased.
I don’t think people think getting hit by a belt is funny but some of us can certainly relate to it and Michael himself complained about being beaten or whipped by his Daddy..old Joe.

I did nothing that deserved the beating I received with a belt. I was a child of someone with anger issues. So I understand what MJ went through. Seems like MJ was a great Dad, raised good kids. These kids have been through a alot so I’m sure they are very scared of losing their Grandmother.
We think its funny because its being said as a joke. Sorry an adult took their frustrations out on you when you were a child, however you are not alone. Many of us have been beaten with or without good cause. We are also adults now and have learned to move on from the traumatic things that happened to us as children. Please learn the difference between condoning harsh punishment and jokes.
The confusing part for me is why was janet video taping paris? I believe jermaine said they were there to reassure the kids about Katherine. A phone call would have worked. Why was there a need for a confrontation. Why was there a need to snatch paris’s phone? Randy and jermaine are tweeting just as much as she is. How can paris show respect for her family if they behave like animals?
In a way, TJ Jackson can probably really relate to Michael Jackson’s children because he and his brothers lost their mother, Delores (DeeDee) to murder in 1994. Allegedly a boyfriend killed her because she would not give him $4 million to pay off his debts.
At least MJ did mention TJ’s name in his Will as a backup support. He doesn’t have to exert undue influence over his grandmother like his Aunt Janet was doing on television telling Ms. Katherine what to read and say from a pre written statement/script.

Addendum: Not allegedly, her boyfriend was CONVICTED and sent to prison for murdering Delores. Her sons sued him for wrongful death.

But that’s neither here or nor there… I’m not on anyone’s side but am I the only one who noticed that the txt msg says Austin JACKSON when his last name is Brown ? Maybe they have 2 Austins in the family but if that’s Rebbie’s son then his last name is Brown….
I think that the dysfunctional Jacksons of origin call themselves devising a scheme to allow them to have their Mother declared incompetent so that they can apply for a Conservatorship of her and in turn trying to get more control over Paris, Prince and Blanket, legally, and in particular a position of control over the inheritance.
Janet would have to lead the charge because conservatorships aren’t generally granted to people who are broke or homeless or owe tons of child support and bills.
I hope Janet really has much of her earned income over the years because when she split with her ex husband Renee, she had to pay him ALOT! Who knows what she has given away to other lovers, etc.

Those children simply need to be looked after by a young responsible parent. Like in their 30s or 40s not a senior. As for Paris, she shouldnt have posted up on twitter but she was worried they have lost one parent now to them they are losing another. They should stay with TJ I think. Katherine is too old, they need support and guidance not someone scolding and screaming at them. Janet was wrong Michael would not have wanted that.
I wish the phrase stay in a child’s place would die already. There are children who have seen more trouble and terror in their lives than most thirty, forty, and fifty year old people could ever imagine and have been placed in “adult” situations that they didn’t choose to be in. We don’t know what’s going on in these kids lives. Usually when children are “acting wild” as some say it’s because they’ve got something terrible going in their lives anyway and when they “act like adults” it’s usually because they have to also.
I agree. Not to mention adults need to be adults and take care of children the way they need to be taken care of, that way children won’t feel the need to “act like adults”. Every child reacts to not being taken care of and/or being supported in different ways: some act “grown” as some people would say and some become introverted, etc. it all depends. Thank you! I’m so sick of hearing people talk about this “child’s place” bullcrap. Telling children to stay in their “place” has gotten way too many children abused or taken advantage of over the years. And this includes myself & that’s probably why I’m so annoyed by this stupid term. If a child’s being mistreated, they have a RIGHT to speak up. And children tend to emulate their behavior on the adults around them & a child’s “acting out” is often a cry for help.
A child should not have to respect an adult or elder if they feel threatened or seriously harmed by them. Penn State wouldn’t be having so many problems right now if someone had just listened to the children for once. And guess what? Some children have to act “grown” if they want to survive their childhoods. I just Katherine can straighten things out for Michael’s kids they don’t have to keep living in this unstable chaos.

@Brenda, there is a difference between a child acting grown because they have been place in adult situations & a child acting grown because they are smelling themselves as my grandmother would say. A child who has been placed in adult situations reacts/handles things differently than a child simply being a grown arse. If Paris wanted people to know something is wrong & she & her brothers needed help, she would have went to someone who can help them:security, a police officer, call the child protective services..etc. Instead she took to twitter, where the only way they can help her is to speculate & tear down the Jackson family. What they were doing and planning to do was directly affecting her and her brothers. The adults may not be around her regularly but their actions, going after the estate and trying to get a hold on THEIR money, taking their grandmother away without an explanation etc had an immediate impact on her and her brothers. So yes she and Prince had a right to speak up for themselves.They were doing them wrong, and she and Prince spoke out about it. Should they just take all this mess? They were left without any contact with their guardian for 9 days, thats negligence. All Paris did was confirming that her grandmother was missing, an she did that after the report was filed by Trent Jackson. So she didn’t reveal that, she only confirmed it when asked about it. And before all she did was denying Katherine had a stroke, which Jermaine and Randy had made up. What was so revealing about what Paris said? It was clear that she was not being heard by her family, and she saw this as a way to be heard and bring an end to this. Who knows how long they would have kept Katherine away from them if not for the missing report and the public attention.
And how exactly are Prince and Paris acting like fools? By expressing themselves? I just visited her twitter and the tweets regarding the matter are mostly about her grandmother missing, how it’s so unlike her to not contact them, and how she wants her to come back home. What’s so bad about that? Should it have stayed in the family that Katherine was missing? Is that what people do when a loved one goes missing?
This is the last time I’m going to say this. A child can express themselves, can be out spoken, can get their opinions & feelings across without being disrespectful. Playing your family issues out in the media is not the way to go about things. If it is, then all of you trying to jump down my back, post your next family drama on TMZ.

I am still interested to know how confirming that your grandmother is missing after a report has been filed, and after the whole thing has already been made public by other parties, is disrespectful. Really showing concern about a missing fammilymember in public is disrespectful now? Aren’t these sort of cases usually made public? I have never heard of a person going missing and the family just keeping quiet about it, that is unless they have something to hide. If not they usually want as much attention they can get because the more people know about it, the more people can recognise the person, give info etc. So there really is nothing strange about what Paris did.

Yes, but once again, no one knows the full situation to say anything for sure. Maybe she thought the police couldn’t help her because she’s not being physically abused, maybe CPS didn’t cross her mind, but if it did maybe she didn’t see that as her best bet. Randy started tweeting about this whole thing when they ‘leaked’ the letter, Janet was RT’ing his tweets, so it’s not like Paris was the one that brought it public.
BTW Prince’s tweets are back up, he says they were from him. Paris also confirme the original tweets were indeed from Prince. But now on the end of the tweet it says “please retweet so that it stays on Twitter”.

So I spoke to my grandson, TJ, last night, that I left there to be in charge of my children — and I never leave home without leaving them with instructions of who to stay there with them, the nanny and all of them — and someone had let go the cook, the nanny, and also the housekeepers. I don’t know who did that but they don’t have that power and they shouldn’t have done it.
And now, the people are saying they are there with nothing to eat. I am sure they have something to eat but it’s probably not healthy because the cook is not there.
But since I have also been away, my guardianship, which I just said, my children, have been taken away from me, my guardianship has been taken away from me. And, but, I spoke to my grandson TJ and also I spoke to Prince and Paris last night and told him I would be home today and they’re waiting for me to come.
And I told him it wasn’t necessary for him to go down and sign for guardianship. … I don’t know who instructed him to do that — but that’s what, but he wanted me to come home before that happened, but the ruling in court today was about the guardianship and I think it was based on a bunch of lies, but I have a good idea who’s doing that and who’s behind that.
But I am grateful for my children that they saw that I needed rest and they wanted to take me away for a while, just a short vacation and rest up. But one thing I have to say … that I’m here at Miraval. They have taken good care of me and have made sure that I got the rest that I needed.
One reason I haven’t called is I just gave up my phone and I didn’t want to have any phone calls while I was here.
My assistant, Janice Smith, have been calling back home to see how things were going and she had been keeping in contact with my nephew, I mean my grandson, and he says everything is going fine. But I was still thinking about the children and I still worry about them, but they are fine.
Before I left, as I said, I put everything in order with the appropriate people to take care of my children for me and it’s really bad to hear that what’s going on at home, and the children have been taken away — but I know that … I’ll get there in time to get them back. And after I finish this, I will be on my way home.
I have to thank Miraval again for taking very good care of me and making sure I got good rest.
We don’t get much — we saw an electric show because it was lightening and we saw a rainbow.

I think they took away the kids phones. Paris hasn’t tweeted and trust she would have Rt’d her brother backing him up. I think with the text message since I have an iPhone, it was obviously a mass text message. Janet didn’t realize that Prince would get the response too! I applaud Prince and Paris. 3 years ago, people slipped by and people did whatever the hell they wanted to all in the name of money and nobody stood up and stepped in and as a result a father is dead. I am so sad that MJ is not hear because if he was all this would not be going on. It is obvious that he didn’t want his siblings or father to have his fortune. Because if he had left his money to his siblings they would have n money. It was reported that Jermain’s net worth is 1 million dollars, Randy’s $900 thousand and Rebbie’s net worth was $250 thousand Janet is worth 150 million Tito 10 million and Latoya 4 million. So it is obviously they had bad investments because they are alomost broke most of them and so every time Michael estate makes more money the more upset they are that they are not getting any of it. All the Jackson siblings, besides MJ, which means they can care for their own children. But it is said they all live w/ Katherine. I really feel bad for Katherine & those kids. Maybe it’d be best at this point for Diana Ross to step in & care for Prince, Paris & Blanket until everything cools down (or until they’re of age). No children should have to worry about or be scared of family members coming after them for their money. Those poor kids are probably confused beyond all reason at this point. Poor Katherine this is way to much for any 82 year old to handle. MJ should have named Diana Ross as first guardian then his mother if Ms. Ross declined. There is a part of me that agrees that the younger Jacksons are WAY out of hand with their tweeting and drama. But I don’t think this is a monster created by MJ, but rather by the rest of the Jackson family. I think the time spent with them since Michael died has changed them. This is one of those family issues that got blown out of proportion and because of their status got pushed into the media. It’s really a non-story when you pull back all the layers: No one got kidnapped, no one was hurt, and no one but the family should ever have been involved in this.
