NADJI JETER TALKS ‘GROWN UPS’ AND MORE

Nadji Jeter is a true success story of hard work paying off and paying off in a big way. Early in his career, Nadji performed as the Atlanta Hawks basketball team mascot, Lil Larry. His dancing caught the eye of superstar artist Usher and in 2005 he became apart of Usher’s New Look Foundation Gala. In a recent interview with Andwepresent.com, Nadji said, I went to New York  for Usher’s Camp New Look Foundation and everybody was telling me to move out to California ASAP. Me and my mom thought a lot about it so at the age of 10, we moved out to California.”

Once in California, Nadji’s career began to take off. He landed roles on shows such as Grey’s Anatomy, Everybody Hates Chris, and The Forgotten.   His first big break came when he got the role of Andre McKenzie in Grown Ups.  He said, “Being in Grown Ups was a great experience; being able to learn from Adam {Sandler} about comedy. He would tell me that when you are doing comedy to be simple and be yourself because that’s when it’s most funny.”

Nadji is currently playing Keenan Reed in the BET hit show, Reed Between the Lines. He enjoys the character and can draw inspiration from his real life for the role. “We have the same interests in girls and we both get in a lot of trouble,” he explained.

What’s next for Nadji? Besides continuing with Reed Between the Lines, Nadji will be in the “Grown Ups” sequel, “Grown Ups 2, which is set to release in 2013.
