Written to inspire and motivate dads, Dwyane discusses his journey as a single father who manages to balance a flourishing career with obligations at home. Readers will learn of the Miami ‘Heat’ players initial reaction when sole custody was awarded to him, and how he copes with NBA life and parenthood. Various coaches and mentors who have positively impacted Wade are also featured in the memoir, and the basketball player touches on his own childhood experience of growing up in a single parent home.
Wade has served on several committees that encourage fathers to be involved in their children’s lives since becoming a single dad last year. The Miami ‘Heat’ player is currently raising his two sons and nephew.

I have a serious question. If you are so tired of hearing about D Wade, then why waist your precious time taking the mouse or sliding your finger across the mouse pad or even across your phone to hover over the story and select it? I mean you could’ve easily bypassed the story and selected one that you weren’t tired of. I’m saying. Lol..

@ Ms_B … WOW really! So he went through an exhausting court battle to get out of paying child support. And the judge really awarded him custody so that he would not have to pay child support. You have got to be kidding …..

HE WAS AWARDED CUSTODY BASED ON HIS EX WIFE’S ATTITUDE AND ACTIONS TOWARD THE COURT AND THEIR DECISIONS. THEY COURT HADN’T EVEN DECIDED ON CHILD SUPPORT AS OF YET, THEY WERE GOING THROUGH THEIR DIVORCE, SHE DECIDED TO MAKE AND FOLLOW HER OWN RULES.
THE COURT SYSTEM HAS NEVER BEEN BIG ON GRANTED FATHERS SOLE CUSTODY OF KIDS, IT HAS TO BE SOME EXTENUATING CIRCUMSTANCES FOR THAT TO HAPPEN. CHECK THEIR CASES AND YOU WILL SEE THERE WERE QUITE A FEW ON DWAYNE’S EX-WIFE’S SIDE.
Love the cover, but I’ll pass on buying it. I’m glad he has a strong hand in raising his sons. Even though he’s with Gabrielle Union, you do not see her in pictures like this, playing mommy dearest. She isn’t raising his sons, he is. His sons are adorable.
