UPCOMING: JULES BROWN STARS IN NEW SPIKE LEE FILM
Young up and coming actor Jules Brown,14, attended the Red Hook Summer premiere at the DGA Theater in New York City on August 6th.
Jules stars in the new Spike Lee film as Flik Royale, a 13 year old that gets more than he bargains for while spending the summer with his religious grandfather in the Red Hook housing projects in Brooklyn, New York. Flik and his grandfather , played by Clarke Peters, have never met before and don’t immediately hit it off. With the constant love of his grandfather and his newfound friendship with Chazz Morningstar, played by Toni Lysaith, Flik begins to see that the world is a bigger place than his home of Atlanta, Georgia.
The film also stars newcomer Toni Lysaith,15. Red Hook Summer hits the big screen in “Red Hook Summer” on August 10th.
