A FAMILY OF FOUNDATION: THE ERVINGS
Basketball Hall of Famer Julius “Dr. J” Erving, his wife Dorys Madden(R), and children put in a stylish appearance at the 12th Annual Harold Pump Foundation Gala held on August 10, 2012 in Century City, California. Erving was honored at the event for his contributions to cancer awareness and prevention.
The Harold Pump Foundation serves “to raise funds to combat cancer by creating awareness, establishing treatment programs, and helping to find a cure for this terrible disease.” To date, the foundation has raised over four million dollars.
Erving and Dorys have two sons together. The former NBA player also has five children from previous relationships.

what happened to his first wife…
Dr.J has always been handsome to me! He has a very nice looking family! Didn’t he file for bankruptcy?
I read a really good story about him and his daughter he had from an affair. Google Alexandra Stevenson and it’s the ESPN OTL Reaching Out piece. I remember 60 minutes or something did a piece on her like in ’99-’00 I want to say but just came across that story a couple month’s ago.
I remember his first wife, Turquoise. She was beautiful as well.
Did you say her name was Turquoise? Pls tell me you are kidding.
Yep, Sherley, her name is Turquoise. I think she is still alive.
If you Google her you can see how she USED to look back in the day.
He aged well! And his sons are looking handsome has ever. His eldest could easily get into basketball aswell, looks already taller then his old man!
