Fourteen-year-old actress/singer Coco Jones is jet setting across the country making appearances and performing for fans. One of her upcoming appearances will be in Westland for Detroit’s back to school celebration on Saturday, August 18th at the Westland Shopping Center for Radio Disney’s AM-910.

Coco credits her appearance on Disney’s “N.B.T.” as helping to propel her to the top, even though she didn’t win. She said, “The funny thing is I didn’t win N.B.T. (Next Big Thing), I was only a finalist. Everyone thinks I won. I thought being on it was a big thing, but it’s gotten better as it’s progressed.”

Coco plans to do a few covers during the concert and is going to give the audience a special treat by performing some of her own songs that no one has heard.

The young star is now able to follow all of her dreams because of the support of her parents. She said, “The great thing about my parents is they let me choose my career and are standing behind me. When I told them I wanted to do this as a career, they said OK, but if you do this, you do it 100 percent, and I’ve been doing it 100 percent ever since.”
