Seventeen-year-old Diggy Simmons is showing the world that he is a jack of all trades. The rapper is switching gears and jet setting onto the small screen.

The rapper, now turned actor, recently landed a starring role on the new “Untitled Diggy Simmons Project” TV pilot.  The new movie is being executive produced by the dream team behind BET’s The Game, Mara Brock Akil and Salim Akil. The untitled project follows Diggy’s character Blake, a blogger, and his close group of supportive friends as he rises to the top.

Also cast in the pilot are Allen Maldonado as Manny; Chris Brew as Blake’s best friend Dot; Bria Murphy as Manny’s girlfriend Nia. Stephanie Charles will play Sheri, Dot’s ex-girlfriend.
