HATS OFF TO THE HILL BOYS
Romelo,4, emulates his big brother as he tips his hat after seeing Rodney Jr.,7, do it. “My baby boy loves to emulate his big brother. So funny,” tweets Monica.
Singer Monica recently accompanied the boys to her husband Shannon Brown’s annual charity event called The Wood Star Festival. Proceeds from the musical festival went towards the Shannon Brown Foundation, which was established to provide scholarships and financial assistance to inner-city youth.
“It is my way of giving back to my community and kids,” Brown says. “I feel it is my duty to give back because I’ve made it out of some of the same situations they are in. Music and sports, basketball in particular, are two of the things that helped me get out of the situations that the kids face everyday so I figured I would put those together so the kids could have a good time.”
