TERRENCE HOWARD IS GOING TO BE A GRANDPA!

Terrence Howard is a soon-to-be grandfather! The actor recently married off his daughter Aubrey and now the 18-year-old has revealed that she is six months pregnant.

Although she loves the entertainment industry and is aspiring to work in it like dad, Aubrey plans to be a stay-at-home mom. “I can’t stand when people tell me or my husband I should be working. If we decide that I’m going to stay home and raise our children, then that shouldn’t be up for discussion. I grew up with my mom in the house always there for us and I wouldn’t have it any other way for my children,” Aubrey writes via her Twitter page.

Mrs. Gayle is a student of Howard University, but is taking time off to have her baby this semester. The little bundle of joy will be her and husband William Billy Gayle’s first child together.

i dont understand, if ur old enough(at 16 ) to have sex, why 18 is too young to get maried and have a child?it’s not any different than having a boy friend, the only diff it’s they decided to make it legal nd honored it.
Beside she has all her familly by her side supporting her nd maybe the husband familly is doing the same, so i dont really see anything wrong with tht, it’s beautifull to have children at young age and growing with them if ur responsable enough

      Amen!

  • Big Blue September 6, 2012 at 11:19 am

With Terrance Howard as a father, she can afford to be a stay at home mom at 18.

  • Santi September 6, 2012 at 8:11 am

I think she is too young and will miss out on dating and having fun like girls her age should do but I wish them well.

  • Writer September 5, 2012 at 8:10 pm

Wow, definitely a trend. I couldnt even have imagined being married and/or pregnant at 18. And Im just 22.

  • miisha September 5, 2012 at 7:43 pm

  • EVELINA RAE September 5, 2012 at 6:34 pm

    William is fine!

Really, 18 married and expecting??? That would make me real sad, if Aubrey was my daughter. They make a cute couple…all the best to the Gayle family!

  • Misunderstood September 5, 2012 at 4:47 pm

I agree with Jazzymn! She’s entirely to young! What living have u done at 18??? I stayed a virgin until I was 23, and if I knew what I know now I’d still be one! Hell if her baby has a baby at 18 she’ll be a grandma at 36 :(

  • PlainMean September 5, 2012 at 2:02 pm

I just love when Jamie Foxx imitates Terrance Howard! Lol. She and her husband make a cute couple.

  • Sherley September 5, 2012 at 1:17 pm

BCK what I say for you not to post my comment?

  • PlainMean September 5, 2012 at 1:08 pm

Shotgun wedding? People are still doing that? Cute couple. Stfu, about these girls being too young for marriage and a baby. If its too young for you, then I guess YOU shouldn’t do it, but no one needs the peanut gallery to decide what’s too young for them!

    • Sherley September 5, 2012 at 4:15 pm

Peanut gallery? :) . My son better not even come home talking about he got a girl pregnant. He’s still a virgin at 16 & still appears uninterested in sex. Which is surprising to me as he’s girl crazy. We had the talk, the condoms are your lil man’s best friend, education & self respect talk & I’m on him so hoping he waits till after he completes college.

  • Sherley September 5, 2012 at 1:01 pm

Hummm..6 mnths pregnant, only married for 2 mnths. Now was that marriage out of love or baby? She gets a pass because she got married before the baby was born? I could never understand that concept. Anywho..how is she financially stable when she was a full time student? Her father is financially stable & I’m sure her hubby has a decent job, but she was a student & that doesn’t pay well. Speaking of which, makes more sense to me to finish school before having a baby. She wants to be a full time stay at home mom. Seems like education will take a back seat for about 5yrs, if this is the only one born in that time frame. Either way, congrats & baby pics please!

I’ve no pass for her or anyone else in her position. This is not the past, this is the present, and in present times, young women are no longer groomed just to be someone’s wife and mother who is never going to work a day in her life. At 16 you you were grown but that’s not the case these days. Most 18 year olds are still living with their parents, or just moved to a college campus where they still are not responsible for much. Still do not really have to take care of themselves so surely don’t know how to take care of someone else. There are no 16, 17, 18, 19 yr olds and very few 20 and 21 yr old that can support a child, especially on their own & without a college education. I hope her husband has a more than decent job b/c making it on one income these days is a no go for the majority. It’s being quoted now that raising one child will cost you over $200,000.00 over 18 years. Then you still have to factor in rent/mortgage, bills, food, your own clothes, & other necessities. I believe in marriage strongly, but it’s not the end all be all. You need education and emotional and financial stability on your own. Anything can happen today or tomorrow, husband could God forbid die, and then she’d be left not being able to support herself or her child. And yes there are plenty of women who’ve said they’d go back to school a year after the baby, then it turns to two & so on, and then it just never pans out. Her dad is a very wealthy actor so of course her mother could afford to SAH. Anyway, I hope she really knows what being a SAHM entails, b/c it’s a lot & not easy.

  • Jasmyn September 5, 2012 at 12:27 pm

Back in the day women were married & had children at 18 or younger so I wish people would stop acting like its the end of the world. Anyway congrats to her and her family

    • Iridescent Me. September 5, 2012 at 12:48 pm

This is a whole different world that we live in my dear. Different mind frames. Back then, some parents married off their children at 18. Take The Color Purple for example. Look at what Celie’s so-called father did to her. I believe she was younger than 18 though.

    • Sherley September 5, 2012 at 1:21 pm

Back in the day women didn’t work but stayed at home & raise children, women kept house will men did almost everything else, men actually hung around and raised their children, women didn’t use birth control & lastly, there were breed to find a man young, marry them & have children. Please do not act like things are not different than it was 60-50-40 years ago.

      • Jasmyn September 5, 2012 at 8:34 pm

My point was women was grown then and they are grown now. I get tired of people saying “babies having babies” no they are GROWN women having children.

        • Sherley September 5, 2012 at 9:53 pm

Only thing I’m going to say about this is just because you are 18, 19, 20, it does not make you grown.

          • Mia March 23, 2013 at 7:33 am

Age also doesn’t determine maturity level. You can be immature and irresponsible at 40.

  • theyknow September 5, 2012 at 12:22 pm

Congrats to them!! At least she got married. I hope she does decide to return back to school and finish her education.

  • Hunny Child September 5, 2012 at 12:20 pm

So she basically pulled a Solange Knowles! She’s
Six months pregnant but got married in July. I’m
Pretty sure terrance Howard made her & her bf get
Married. Bad for his image. Congrats anyways

  • WriterSanti September 5, 2012 at 12:15 pm

Congrats to the Howard family. I agree with her if it financially okay for her to be a stay at home mom and she wants to do that, thats her right.

Wow, that’s slightly disappointing but I don’t have a hell or hot water to stick anyone. I can’t imagine a Father would want this life for a child so young but you adapt and adjust. Aubrey has all the right people in her corner, its just a shame that she has to grow up so quickly. Its a bit different with Tiffany Evans since she was emancipated at a young age and has been married for two. From my opinion only it looks like Ms. Aubrey married to save face. And, we all know…you don’t fix babies with marriage. Best wishes and happiness to the young couple. Marriage is a lifelong ministry!!

  • kaylnn September 5, 2012 at 11:21 am

Well Grandpa has plenty of baby wipes already!

    • ANirvana September 6, 2012 at 1:55 am

      caught that lil joke lol.

She’s glowing radiantly, I don’t know her life so i don’t know when she’s ready for marriage, but I do have older friends that are in their 30′s that still aren’t ready. I’m 27, been married 4 years, been together for 6, and I love and live my life. Most of my friends are single and they reassure me (not that they’re not enjoying themselves some of the time) I’m not missing much lol

  • keverno September 5, 2012 at 11:05 am

18 is way too young for a baby in this day and age. She is baby herself….Wow!!!!!

    • Neonlove September 5, 2012 at 11:20 am

At least she’s married and has some stability financially (considering her plans to stay a home). You think 18 year old is too young to have a baby in this day and age? Most of my friends from high school, including other girls I knew had babies before age 20. It’s crazy, but it happens.

      • theyknow September 6, 2012 at 9:50 am

And what do “most” 18 years old make? B/c when I was 18 I got paid the same thing as the older people around me and I wasn’t working in fast food or retail. You can make normal pay at 18 you know…

        • shopaholic September 7, 2012 at 12:33 am

You’re saying that at 18, fresh out of high school, you were making the same salary as people who had been in the workforce for years, many of whom had likely advanced to higher position than they started in, some of who had jobs that required degrees? Really? Okay.

        • shopaholic September 7, 2012 at 12:39 am

Can’t stand her dad but congrats to her! 18 is absolutely young the idea that 18 is grown is just stupid frankly. I couldn’t have handled it and wouldn’t have wanted to handle it at 18 but if she can provide for her child (financially and emotionally) and is willing to make the sacrifices parenting provides then good for her.

Sidenote, she reminds me of someone. I can’t think of who though. It’s driving me crazy.

        • theyknow September 7, 2012 at 9:45 am

Yes I was actually b/c I worked in production and in that job I was paid the same amount as others b/c of some extra classes I had taken in high school. Thank you very much. I had the same house, car, and anyhting else that the others had and I made a very good living for myself. You dont know what type of experience people have. This is not the 60′s. I’m not in that field anymore, but it paid my way through college so now I have a even better job.

  • Jazzmin September 5, 2012 at 11:02 am

Whoa a little too young, especially for the the child of a famous star. She’s in the same age bracket as Tiffany Evans smh. Yes they both are married but when is society gonna stop making it okay for babies to have babies. Teens look up to these girls. She’s not in school to be a stay-at-home mom, if she wanted to be an actress that’s not goin to happen from home. I just tured 19 & my mom said she didn’t wanna be a grandma til her 60′s, and i’ll gladly make that happen 10 years from now. Too many things to do, see, and learn before having a baby; I also want to be an example for my younger family.

    • Iridescent Me. September 5, 2012 at 12:44 pm

Thank you Jazzmin. Married or not. It’s not cool. They still have so much growing to do. IDK why people condone teenage pregnancy, but I don’t.

      • kim September 5, 2012 at 2:22 pm

Do you condone abortion? Do you condone teens having sex?

      • theyknow September 5, 2012 at 2:25 pm

What’s done is done, that does not mean people condone it. Technically she is 18 so she is pretty much grown. Once she got married that made her grown to be exact. I say some cant handle it and some can. At least her and Tiffany decided to get married before they have their children.

    • Neonlove September 5, 2012 at 12:51 pm

There are too many things for “you” to do, see and learn…but maybe Terrence’s daughter has seen it all. Life isn’t over after getting married and having children.
When you are young and immature, the thought of that kind of responsibility is scary. But people like Tiffany and Aubrey are ready for it, so let them live their life.
